First of all, this thread might be seen as a bug report and therefor should be in a general bug-thread but I cant find it (new on this channel
I reported "bugs" with AI troop behavior before regarding 1.23.
In 1.24 I see big improvements regarding more disciplined sieging and not chasing 2K enemy with 200K armies (still not optimal but improved). However there seem to be "new game breaking" issues introduced with the 1.24 patch.
1) The engage calculation seem to be way off meaning 40K armies dont engage 10K rebels or enemy stacks but rather focus on unsieging provinces.
Result is AI handling rebels can take 30-40 years instead of 1 year. Easy wars lost or white peaced because war score was minimal.
2) The war score calculation seems to be way off meaning AI is not focused on enemy forts gathering war score but is rather focused on unsieging (fort-less) occupied provinces. Also enemy stacks 2-3 times smaller than friendly stack next province sieging friendly fort is not attacked but is rather focused on sieging fort-less provinces
Result is again many wars lost or white peaced with 3:1 troop count.
Am I the only one seeing this? I play mainly spectate games so I have a good view on AI behavior. Love to hear others on these specific issues.
If requested I can upload a file of a friend who had a prime example of a CN not able to kill rebels for 40-50 years with 5 times the troops to handle it.
Thanks in advance for your opinions
