So I don't own Battle for the Bosporus yet. I'm thinking that's why this happens. Italy goes to war with Greece, they never finish the war and sometimes they even get pushed completely out of Albania. Germany never declares on Greece, and the Axis never get a sufficient land route into Greece because Bulgaria doesn't join the Axis until very very late. So Yugoslavia stays neutral, Greece joins the Allies and this complicates things when Germany goes to war with the USSR. It makes it's too easy for the Allies because there are so many land routes into Europe. The entire concept of "Fortress Europe" doesn't really materialize when the British in particular have access to Greek territory to attack and/or bomb Europe. Does the DLC fix this? Becaue it really ruins the game for me.

I'm not sure but with the DCL I have no problem winning the race for Greece as Turkey. Italy's been going for Yugoslavia first.
I have 0 exp with AI Greece vs. Ai Turkey. It has it's problems, but if you like alt history, you may enjoy the DCL.
Historic I think Italy attacked Greece first, with Mussolini's 'Kick the in the pants to fight' doctrine.
I'm often wrong though, lol.

I don't have the latest DLC either, and Yugoslavia does seem to get in the way of the Axis. Germany usually declares on it, but way too late to save Italy in Greece, so Greece becomes for Allies exactly what real life Germany didn't want it to become.

As someone who has the DLC, Yugoslavia consistently either stays neutral for a good portion of the war, joining the Allies in late '41 or early '42. However, for Greece, the only time I've seen the Greeks join the Allies are when Italy rushes their war with Greece, beyond its a bit more common for Greece to go against Turkey, however it usually doesn't fire well because by the time they do it, its very late into the game. If the Greek AI chooses to go down the "Compromise with the Monarchists" branch it needs to do it earlier, if not rush and focus on it. As it stands currently, the Greek AI loves to spend their time in the economic branch and doing all of those focuses.
