I saw that. Its a pretty good idea that seems fun. Some sort of history where america was not colonized until much later. As mentioned though you could easily just make it a proper mod and put on the forum. You'd want to put in some more detailed native american nations and revolters as well perhaps.

I'm not so up to speed on all the mods so I am not sure what alternate history scenarios are around, the one I know that did a really good alternate history start was Kaiserreich for Hoi2 (Germany won WW1 with France and Britain being the big losers).

I think to make them good it should not be too long of a time period (familiarity!) and the backstory needs to be clear on why its different because one of the advantages of basing the game on history is that people know what happened already so it doesnt need a lot of explanations.
