My factories are always failing though, they sink into the ground if I don't have then sometimes subbed (Liquor) or always subbed (Most everything else).

I subsidize everything..subsidizing only costs money if the factory is losing money right?

Doesn't help when all of my factories are losing money. Still, Belguim's ecnomy is stronger then UCSA (First experience with modernising), so I'll give it a shot.

Speaking of Belguim, any advice for taking on a French/Russian/Spainish coalition or should I just leave it be? (My Belguim isn't anything special, most of Netherlands and Java, 40 brigades)

It was correct for every version of V2 before now. I haven't confirmed it for the current version, but on my recent playthrough I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I believe that's still the case. I have had situations where subsidies were enabled but cost me nothing on the budget page.

Yes.

The problem with long term subsides is that the factory will be expanded and thus your losses from subsides become bigger and bigger.
This can be okay if it is providing you with some important military goods (ammo, barrels, artillery, steamers), but otherwise long-term subsides should be a no-no.

This would find my interest, too.
I learned so much from the Vicky1 Wiki, and it was written in a great style, really to enjoy reading.

The new Vicky2 Wiki is nice, but does not come close to the old version.

Disclaimer: I know, it is hell of work to do something like this, and I can not expect anybody to do it... only if somebody by accident likes the challenge to do it?
