Okay everyone just to let you all know as I know it is not made that clear. AHD has a later version than the one available on Gamersgate (not sure about amazon)

Just click the check for updates buttun in the Vic 2 launcher and your good for business.

Because I downloaded from GG just a couple of hours ago and it was 2.0. I only learnt 2.1 was out because I saw some talk about it in a thread.

When I click the application, it immediately goes to "Loading Sprites." I don't get anything like in Vic II where it opened a launcher where you have to click "Play Victoria II."

Plenty of bugfixes, a lot of optimizations. You want to start your experience with Vicky2 with patch 2.1.

yeah sorry about there not being a patchlog, it was supposed to be there before the release so nobody would end up with 2.0 so a patchlog was never prepared. but it is as delra said. a bunch of balancing and optimizations

Open the other exe file; victoria2.exe

You should be able to install it through the launcher. If you for some reason can't access the launcher, check the folder where you installed your game. There should be a file with a black and white icon (platypus icon). That's the launcher.
