Just wanted to ask if maybe you are doing anything with the duel engine at all, because three times now I have lost a Skilled Fighter (RIII) Genius King (Targaryen) of the Trident in personal combat against someone who is at best a Poor Fighter (RI) always following the exact same pattern, I wound him, he gets up, I wound him, he gets up, I wound him, he gets up, I die. It was most jarring when my formidable fighter king died against a wounded poor fighter with no wounds of his own. The only battle I have won was a different game in singleplayer against an unskilled steward, and one trial by combat, although the latter doesn't seem to use the duel engine.

Maybe it has already reported though...

Playing with normal winter, the winter has come after ca. 10 years, and some provinces got winter modifiers but they recovered quickly from the winter. Is it WAD?

I think the selection in the beginning is just for the first season, after that the duration is randomized, although I have noticed very few and very short winters in my game.

First of all: brilliant work, I've had a great time playing it this far. Encountered a few oddities I'd share with you:
1) Eager for influence, I married off one of my sisters to Tywin Lannister (how often do you get to say that in real life?). He readily accepted, she departed my court -- the Hightowers of Oldtown, if it's of any consequence -- only to return a week or two later. This cycle repeated itself three-four times until I gave up and married her off to a Tyrell heir. Is Tywin just a really horrible husband, or did they wish their tea made differently? I might add that the prestige I got for every successful marriage to him remained with me after their presumed impromptu divorces.
2) Renly and Robert Baratheon, clearly nae pals, have been taking turns usurping the titles of the Westerlands and the Stormlands from each other for a while, often with intervals of just a few days. I don't have the faintest clue why.

Other oddities, equally WAD and hilarious, include Tywin Lannister having been exiled to the Night's Watch and Tyrion Lannister having married -- wait for it, this one's good -- the heiress Reyne of Castamere. :D

I have been messing around with the ages of of characters in the game. One thing I have noticed is that when a player is 16 they die a lot more then if you were to set the age to 17 bypassing that one year. Targaryen's seem to be the worst, and even the children who age naturally will as soon as they turn 16, will die. Not sure how you would like me to track the problem, just let me know what I need to do to make it easier for you to see the problem.

two things - Islander raids and succession

Could be bugs, could be WAD, could be i'm just stupid and missing something (?) I'm playing as The Vale, on the earlier scenario.

1) During the war against King Aerys, there were a ton of Iron Islander raids on the North that all ended immediately. Like I would get the pop-up that said, "1st Iron Islander raid on the North," then immediately the popup that said it ended inconclusively. Then it happened again and again and I got up to raid #9 or 10 within barely a year, all immediately ending inconclusively. Once the war against King Aerys ended, things seemed to calm down.

2) Succession issue. I had no sons, two daughters, and was running Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture. The older daughter married Ramsey Bolton (matrilineal), and the younger one married into some minor House (regular marriage). For some reason, the game showed the younger daughter as heir and kept telling me that if my ruler died, I would play as her. I tried re-loading the game, but it kept showing the younger daughter as heir -- and eventually, that's what happened when my ruler died. This was a problem because her kids were not of her House, so I had to change to Elective to prevent the game from ending when she died.

As many people as I'm sure start with Petyr Baelish, I can't believe this hasn't been caught yet. Didn't see a fix for it in 2.1 so here it is: When attempting to create the High Lordship of The Fingers as House Baelish of Newton, you run into a slight problem. One of the conditions for creating this lordship is, of course, that your capitol be located in one of the The Fingers' de jure provinces. However, if you look at the requirements for the title you will notice that it lists "Newkeep, rather than Newton, as a possible capitol prerequisite. Now, obviously, one could simply switch their capitol to one of the other Finger provinces as a temporary fix for this... but that really takes the joy out of making the s**thole that is House Baelish's keep into the capitol of a High Lordship.

Should point out I was cheating a little (sometimes I like silly fantasy games) but positive this didn't impact anything pertinent:

0.2.1 - Started as Karstarks and manage to win independence. From then on I fabricated a couple of claims and went to war to claim them from the North. Each and every time I did this, I'd declare war on the King of Iron Throne if there was peace, and immediately after the Starks would split off as would all the other LPs, perhaps due to a Mega War, and my war would end inconclusively before I had chance to even raise levies. First couple of times I thought this was just bad timing, but it seems to happen every time regardless, like immediately after I declare war and advance maybe a day or two, and after the war has ended inconclusively there's no other war evident that could have caused the temporary split of the kingdoms.

Feels like since I'm going to war with the King of Iron Throne for some of the North territory, since I'm independent the Mega War system splits the Kingdom to determine sides and at that point the King of Iron Throne doesn't control the territory I've declared war for and it ends the war?

It basically made it impossible for me to further expand my territory. I won independence during the War of the Usurper.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I was able to get Maester Aemon married >_> Maesters, Sworn Brothers of the Night's Watch and Kingsguard members shouldn't even receive marriage messages like "Unmarried Heir" and so on. And on the country selection screen it still warns me that I can't play as a theocracy when in fact the Wall is playable. Also, about the date... what's with 8280 and so on? In the saga, men and women (highborn ones, at least) count the years starting from Aegon's Landing, not from the Wall's building or the establishment of the Night's Watch.

AFAIK the game isn't accepting 280.

This is due to the team wanting to do a scenario before Aegon's Landing and the CK2 engine not accepting negative dates.

EDIT: Added the tidbit to the CKII wiki AGOT page.

I know the assassination system has changed over to the new vanilla one from 1.06 where you wait to get an event to kill someone after gaining plot power, but I've encountered an issue.

From day 1 of the game as Eddard Stark I plotted to kill my wife Catelyn Tully. From day 1 my plot power was in the 120s% and within a few years It had reached over 220%. During that time period she found out about the plot, but I was still able to invite more people to it, so I figured it should still work. Well, after 8 years, I still had not once been given an event to assassinate her. So I decided to cancel the plot and restart it. Again, the plot power was over 220%. After 2 years, still nothing. So I finally decided to pay the large sum of gold and assassinate her not long after a total of 10 years of continuous assassination plotting against her which had turned out to be useless. I wasted so much time with her as she hated my guts after she found out about the plot and we didn't have any children until I got her to like me (I forgot that being hated by your spouse makes it nearly impossible or completely impossible to have children) like 7 years after initially planning the plot. I could have been making better babies with a better wife if I would have gotten that event.

So it comes down to one or more of the following I suppose.

A. After someone finds out about a plot, even though you can still invite people to the plot and can restart the plot too, you will never get the event to assassinate them. Would be incredibly dumb imo.
B. Some characters are hardcoded to not be killable by plots. If this is the case, which I suppose it most likely is, a list should be made available of all those whom can not be killed by plots.
C. The assassination plot feature is somehow broken in GoT. It worked fine for me in CK2+ though.

Some strange things appeared during my last game. I played as the House Selmy and the war of the usurper ended inconclusive after the game started. Then Robert started a new revolt against the tyranny of Aerys. Robert was captured by Rhaegar who inherited soon after that his father. But then Tywin has become King and Rhaegar has been left as High Lord of Dragonstone, without any war.
