A strange chain of events has occurred which I'm not sure is a bug or not: after King Aerys won the War of the Usurper, Lord Paramount Benjen of the North starts conquering Wildling counties beyond the Wall. Soon enough a Wildling count declares war on the Iron Throne which causes a mega-war to initiate and I (Prince Rhaegar) get an event asking me whether to stand by the King or go independant.
Is this a bug or a WAD?

What happened to the possibility of making Wildfire?

King's Landing doesn't have the guild anymore.

In .2, the latest version, I have this thing where the little duel seems to take next to forever. Not the duel, but the series of 'events' where you attack, knock them down, they roll away, and it keeps on doing so dozens of times until maybe you get lucky at it itops, for sometimes it keeps on looping.

Damn, are Wildling rebellions supposed to be infinite? They are rebelling every two weeks or so. You can put an army in captured county and watch how they fight wildlings and fight and fight. If there are no army in the county, armies of rebels stack...

Not sure if bugs but they don't make much sense.

The following "traits" seem to have the wrong bonuses:

Incompetent scientist: -2 Martial and +1 learning
Incompetent commander: +2 Martial
Poor fighter: +1 Martial

It seems to me these should be reversed?

I've also seen rebels constantly laying waste to Wildings.

-Also Tutor Children appears still to be broken. Maester Cressen at learning 18 is .03% yearly. That just seems reaaalllyy low, too low to be for balance.

-Same game, I just encountered King Aerys on the battlefield as Robert, Jaime Lannister stepped up to save his king...and I had to run about 8 clickthroughs of the "Strike! --- Jaime lies at your feet --- Jaime rolls out of the way" until the little bastard finally died. More flavor in the personal combat engine would do the trick, I think. I wouldn't mind clicking through 8 times if the text weren't the same each time. Also, out of 8, Jaime didn't seem to attack once, he just got knocked down over and over. Encounter Jonothor of the KG, same defeat in 4 clickthroughs. Then Arthur Dayne killed Robert while defending Rhaegar in one clickthrough! So maybe all that is needed is more flavor than "rolls over and fight again."

-Improper localisation: Septon of b_Galmont_sept, Septon of b_childrens_of_storms and Mayor of b_storms_hall.

-Got an event when Hugh Grandison's father died in battle, he raised his flag in rebellion. And then it said immediately, Hugh to Robert, "I wholeheartedly support you in your struggle against Hendrick (his own dead father)." Hugh stayed on the Stormland side and I also got a righteous imprisonment against him. Wish I had screenshotted it. Here's a similar event:

-The Army of Dorne, perhaps this is just Doran being Doran, have encamped their entire army of 14k on Ghaston Grey...apparently determined to give no material support to the Mad King.

I came across several seemingly minor bugs while playing as a lowly Lord of the Reach (I started in Blackcrown, and eventually moved on to become the High Lord of Oldtown). Anyway, the bugs I found are below:

  • When looking at the Valyrian swords, I noticed that the description of Longclaw (the sword belonging to House Mormont) has a typo --> "untill" should be "until".
  • There were a couple issues with the Summer Islanders. They did not have a Coat of Arms. When they invaded Dorne, the war was known as "Summer Islander Invasion of ---" with dashes where it should have said Dorne. And finally, after losing the war, the Summer Islander troops just stayed there. The stack of troops was still sitting in High Hermitage 20 years later.
  • I chose to knight my son from the intrigue menu. There is a typo in the description for this event, "He will be a kngiht..."
  • Using the Ambition option to Plot to Kill My Wife, I had over 200% backing for my plot, but I was never able to attempt to kill her. The plot seems to be broken.
  • I used the new Divorce mechanic to divorce my old lady. She did not show up in the Former Wives section of my character sheet, and I did not show up in the Former Husband section of hers.
  • I keep seeing High Priority messages saying, someone ".. wants to Adopt a Lifestyle". I have no idea what this is about.
  • At every change of seasons, I'm getting an event popup saying "choosing summer" or "choosing winter".
  • When choosing to visit a woman's chambers through the Personal Interaction menu, it is failing to trigger an event. Nothing happens.
  • I got an event in which I was reading the Seven Pointed Star. However, in the event description, it shows it as "THE_SEVEN_POINTED_STAR".

Thanks for all your hard work, guys. The Mod is great. Hope these bug reports help to clean it up a bit.

Also, Tywin Lannister offered to marry Elia of Dorne in my game and immediately afterwards she was back in my court. They were both alive still and never registered as each one's spouses. Later, Tywin offered again. I declined, since he's so stupid as to send her away....

A few extremely minor objective bugs:

Characters with the widowed trait can still pick the "get married" objective. Also, you have various traits that block being able to pick this ambition, like black brother or silent sister, but you don't include this in the abort requirements, so a character who has this ambition that gets banished to the wall will continue to pursue it after being a black brother.

Also, the first ranger minor title does not accomplish the "gain honorary title" ambition.

Here's a mystery. Playing as Robert, just won the Iron Throne as of (according to the History of the title) 9.7.8284. I then get this message a couple weeks later:

Eddard inherited the Barrowlands! I noticed this as kinda wrong, because in the books it seems Lady Barbrey Dustin rules the Barrowlands. So I wondered why he died, and it was in personal combat, days after the war's end.

View attachment 58186

So what happened to Jonothor Darry? Slain by Ethan Glover on the same day.

View attachment 58188

Pretty awesome, if you ask me, that there is a bit of narrative hidden in that melee. It seems the events fired during one of the last battles of the war and resolved after the conclusion. Probably nothing can be done.

But anyway, yeah, Barrowlands starts as Ag-Cog Gavelkind...so why doesn't it inherit to Lady Barbrey?

EDIT: Reloaded a save from just after winning the war, and the second time it was Gerold Hightower slain on Sept 23rd by some guy...so I reloaded and tried again. Nothing this time! Until two weeks later. That is a lot of circular combat if it's leftover from the War.

I noticed that you can no longer see all the spouses of widowers now. There used to be arrows on their portraits that allowed me to scroll through them all, but it appears to be gone now. Not a big deal though.

That's from the 1.06b update to CK2. There's now a box at the bottom of a character's family box that says "Former Wives" (under the list of children). It should contain all the former wives.

The Intrigue screen decision to exile a prisoner to the Wall doesn't seem to work (at least, not in my game as Robert Baratheon). It takes the 20 gold, but the prisoner remains imprisoned and the decision remains to be clicked again for another 20 gold.

Stannis is asking for Bywater, which Robert inherited after Jacelyn placed his head in the way of somebody's weapon. Probably should be using different text to do it, seeing as he is already Lord of D-Stone.

Thank you so much for this release dev team. I love this mod! Here are some possible bugs found while playing as the Targaryens.
1) Whenever I marry my err... sister I am constantly getting the negative modifier for a title claimant. I do not remember this being the case for the previous version and it makes the marriage a little rocky.
2) I have been playing for two generations now and I have not gotten the Targaryen coin flip event. It appears that other members of the dynasty are getting it, as there are still quite a few Targaryen lunatics but I have yet to have the event fire.
3) While playing as a Aegon on Dragonstone, my court was continually populated with High Valyrian courtiers who died within two or three months. I assume this was due to the High Valyrian event to weed out random High Valyrians. But it gets really annoying having to replace High Valyrian Courtiers and only having more High Valyrians to choose from.
4) Had a Grand Tournament where three brothers from the same house all died from an accident at the tourney. Either they were the three most unlucky brothers in the world or I smell a bug.
5) I have noticed that Dawn disappears after Ser Arthur Dayne dies and is not given to another random member of his dynasty. Is this WAD or a bug?

Thanks again all. I will continue to comment on any more possible bugs I find.

EDIT: The coin flip event started firing on my third generation of Targs but not for everyone of my children. It seems to skip some on occasion. Also, disregard 5 as after examining the event I realized it was intentional.

After winning the war once as Robert, and taking the Iron Throne, I have been unable to host a Grand Tournament. I have the 500gp and 250 prestige, I am at peace...but I don't even see the decision in the intrigue screen. I let the game run for 5 years, until KL could recruit troops again in case that made a difference, but it did not. The option to hold a Grand Tourney never showed up on the intrigue screen.

I tried it again, won the war handily, gave away all titles but Kings Landing and the Iron Throne, cheated my way to the prerequisite money/prestige...and let the game run a few months. Still no option for Grand Tourney.

Playing as Robert in The Crowned Stag scenario allows me to see the host a Grand Tourney option even if I don't have the pre-reqs. And then, of course, holding them works.

Two minor issues, one a bug, one a possible balance issue. First, whenever I try to go to the chambers of a lady in my court, nothing seems to happen. I'm not sure if my character just kept getting rejected or if something was wrong. As a bit of an aside to that, I also tried insulting some of the Night's Watch members to get them to fight with me (who lives beyond the wall), but it seemed to have no effect on their opinion of me. Also, the wildling rebellions are a bit of a hassle - not so much because they're huge stacks (for the area) and they seige super quickly (I assume it's supposed to be difficult), but because they have tons of archers and wildling castles give no archers and no access to archery ranges. I can attack 400 men with 700, led by three commanders all of whom have greater marshal than the defending rebel, and take more casualties than the defeated rebels all because my army spent days shooting with their melee weapons. I'm not sure how this could be fixed - if you could maybe replace the archers with a mix of light infantry, pikemen, and heavy infantry or give all of the castles a small archery range so that they aren't defenseless/offenseless in the shooting phase?

And thanks a lot for the awesome mod, y'all. Playing as the wildlings is great and will, hopefully, only get better!
