I'm the count of Vermandois and Amiens, and married to the countess of Vexin (as I just pushed her claim and won), so in theory my eldest son Eudes should inherit at least two of these (one directly from each parent) and then presumably lose the third title to a brother due to Gavelkind.
However, he just died and so my heir is my next son, Carloman.
The issue is that Eudes had a legitimate son who in Primogeniture terms would be the senior male heir.
I rarely play Gavelkind so I'm not 100% on its mechanics, but should the standard heir by Primogeniture not still be the primary heir under Gavelkind? I don't understand why it would go to Carloman, when he has a surviving nephew by his elder brother. I'm pretty sure that in History that's how it would have always been -- for example with Arthur of Brittany after Richard the Lionheart died.
Can someone comment on this? It may well be WAD, but it seems like it shouldn't be.
