Hey,
is anybody else considering to play an aggressive wormhole empire?

1. Building wormhole stations all over enemy territory and your border systems.
2. Splitting your Fleet in 2k Stacks and raiding enemy core planets.
3. Keeping enemy fleet busy with raiding, jumping away when enemy is on his way to the system.
4. Analyse enemy tech and counter it.
5. Conquer war goals.
6. Profit

Everybody says wormhole is for defensive players but i see big aggressive potential in it.

How exactly do you plan on defending all these construction ships and worm hole stations...? Not everyone would ignore them like Wiz did during stream.

Pretty sure Wiz just ignored them in the stream because at the moment they ddn't pose a threat and for the player it's just a micromanage hell to send around small fleets to hunt those stations down (which an AI could do easily!)
But in Multiplayer you could be successful. We will know more in 9 days :)

I do plan on playing aggressive wormhole, but I plan on using a system of transportation hubs and the benefit of massive wormhole range. It won't let me strike super duper far like warp would if I system hopped, but the ability to instantly strike within that range appeals to me.

2k raid fleet is enough to defend it. If Main fleet is incoming you can always flee. wormhole is the fastest way of FTL.

I do plan on playing aggressive wormhole, but I plan on using a system of transportation hubs and the benefit of massive wormhole range. It won't let me strike super duper far like warp would if I system hopped, but the ability to instantly strike within that range appeals to me.

I'm considering 2 styles
1. Fortress Hubs and enemy wormhole station spam.
2. Wormhole spam all over my empire and enemy empire.

I will choose my style when i see the maintenance cost of a wormhole station.

But it's still important to have a redundant system.
