It would be neat if you could some how flag an army as a Crusader Army - or just all armies of a nation who is committed to a crusade. And with these armies you could be flagged as 'hostile' as raiders are, allowing you to loot and plunder any other near by nations of the crusade target of the same Religion. You could even potentially set up a crusader state this way - and when it is formed the effected nation could then get a prompt on whether or not they want to declare war on you to reclaim those lands, or not if they don't feel they are up to the task.
Essentially, it feels like the Crusades are way more coordinated than they were. Like when looting happened in Hungary, or Constantinople, so it would be neat to have this extra bit of chaos that could lead to potential revenge wars, or plots of murder because you plundered their lands on route to the crusade.
