I got Anno 1404 on GOG but haven't installed it yet. Then again, I have a ton of games I've never even installed. I think I'm becoming a hoarder.

I'm over 65Well, I am 72, so I don;t know about older players not wanting to play. I started with board games in the late 60's and migrated to computer games when they came out. Paradox games are very complicated for most people. I wouldn't pay much attention to those players who rant how easy it is or the ones that rage quit because they didn't like something they didn't like. I would recommend searching for utube videos on how to play. There are a lot and you can learn a lot from watching them.

Yes. It's very obvious that young people are all the worst about applying stereotypes to people.

Humble Bundles make me one... Currently I own a little more than 1000 games of which I played only a fraction.I got Anno 1404 on GOG but haven't installed it yet. Then again, I have a ton of games I've never even installed. I think I'm becoming a hoarder.
I'm all for them so long as they don't keep me from the important things.![]()
At 10 that's young but good to see! My son started at 14, he's very good, but gamey, takes all the angles. I'm 50 and try to play historical with lots of flavor and enjoy the time period of the game.Hi,
My Son has become obsessed with Hearts of Iron 4, he sometimes gets frustrated that he not as good as he would like to be. I've had a look and its far too multifaceted for me and its beyond my mere mortal gaming experience. I just wanted to get and idea of the player age range to explain to him that hes still very young at 10 to be playing a game as hard. He also plays EU 4 too which he has just started.
Thanks

Same here, 67. I've always liked games, especially war games. I started with Avalon Hill boardgames and later on computers gave a whole new aspect to games.I'm over 65
If I really want detailed simulation, I play Command: Modern Operations. A big scenario in that can take days, especially if ASW is involved.Same here, 67. I've always liked games, especially war games. I started with Avalon Hill boardgames and later on computers gave a whole new aspect to games.
