i'm kinda seeing a trend here.
1 race per month. The spotlighted race gets a live gameplay on that month.
Which means we have 4 months to go until every devdiary is released. Food for thought.
Optimistic!
Anyway, I enjoyed this stream more than the last.
Feedback from the girlfriend who was watching it with me:
Doesn't like bugs, because she just hates cockroaches irl.
Thinks the game looks amazing.
Wanted to know if you had your own art team or outsourced it.
Was baffled by all the moving parts in the combat, and the complexity.
Was confused as to why you let 2 t3 units die.
Thought the emergent were "super cute."
Agreed with me that it was cool to see the movement radiuses (radii?) And also a projection of damage.
Thought it was amazing that Ravenous could eat a unit (and she predicted it'd restore health before I could say anything) and awesome that you got a free unit.
For my part :
I think you could have lost fewer troops, and saved your tormented.
Celestian tech looks so cool.
Your chosen combination gave you psionic *2, thermal and whatever the other kirko base damage is.
So you were kind of hard countered by Vanguard promethean. And probably by DVAR too.
Which is why it made sense buying the paragon .
But it would have made more sense to buy *more* paragon, especially considering the chest enabled energy and cosmite stockpile you had.
Being able to buy units from a dwelling/indie city is goddamed cool and the interface looks slick.
Those celestian units look and seem to be amazing.
One had 87 health- high?
I'm not quite sure what the aegis tank shield does-protect against fire? energy? Are there energy weapons in the game?
I thought the promethean infantry were going to be flamethrowers, I. E. Conal area of effect. Is there a promethean that does this? Am I thinking of the Walker maybe?
Anyway I'm not quite sure I like the plasma bolts they dealt. They also seemed a bit...I don't know, weak, underwhelming somehow.
I'll probably change my mind after I watch the video again.
I like your little hint that the next stream will be DVAR.
And I'm guessing on the same map.
I found it interesting that rivers are now a Base terrain and not an obstacle as such.
Open water still requires a version of seafaring.
Lastly, the underwater units look cool.
