regarding the Navarra thing, Yes we should have had a player for them from the beginning. Bringing one in now is kinda ridicolous since neither AD nor I and probably not Hive either is willing to give up any territory.
Duke is strong, indeed. And I was as surprised as Hive to see Granada has Latin tech.
We'll see how the game advances, Duke has all the possibilities to advance far into Africa/Middle East or the Americas but he obviously lacks the Ausrian puppy so it all depends on the christian Frenchies to take him down or tear themselves up in endless wars over hegemony in France

I usually don't like editing nations because a player has fucked up but in Slargos case I'm in favor of it.

Well I hope my allies would let Lorrain to get allso something. As in last war Lorrain was sacrifised so Savoy and Britanny would get last pieces of France. So Lorrain is making it clear that it wont be happy to only get back the province it lost in last war to marauding 100k burgundi armies it wants allso some more .

Well you COULD perhaps start going into Germany before Bavaria and Pommern devours it all? In case you haven't noticed, you also have German culture...

But how about snatching the Netherlands from Burgundy, before Austria inherit?

Yes Lorrain has german culture but thanks to wars agains France there has been no chance to expand there at all its quit difficult with 0 troops and whole country being sieged. Allso it was pure luck that I lost only one province for Burgundy thank god for those repels .

Its better Lorrain gets something if we go after Burgundy......

I totally agree Rezag. I think you got a bit short in the last France war.
Perhaps a possibility for you would be to move into the rich provs of Luxembourg, Cologne and Kleves. I need to DoW Cologne anyway as I had to cede Limousin to them. Perhaps you could work your way up to the northern sea along the dutch border to counter Pommeranian expansion there.
You can as well go into dutch lands if you like. I was thinking of expanding there and perhaps become reformed but I see the need for you to get some provs.
However I think both you and Hive should play the 2nd culture card before Naples/Bavaria/Pommerania have gobbled everything up.
I only really want Limousin back and Calais out of the remaining provinces and since that is surrounded by my own provinces shouldnt be a problem.
Also I think Hive should go for Kaffa to get a CoT soon

The way I see it, Knights are pretty much toast. I could go on as the knights but I would not be able to make much of a peep.

Oh and Ganja, next time you can try playing the knights, eh?

Now, we have a couple of alternatives:

Teutonic Order, Ak Koyunlu, Morocco, Georgia.

These are viable nations to play. Other than these, I'm unsure what effect we'd have. Perhaps put me and devil/dild in asia...

Regarding Aragon, Naples will help too since Messina and Malta (and sicily) rightfully belong to our Crown.

Btw, regarding exploration:

can we set a rule of no map sharing to make more challenging and interesting colonization? and in this case, how do we get explorers? only by random events?

I don't like such a rule. And yes, we'll only get random explorers.

Slargos: why are you so eager to depart The Knights? If they get their inflation lowered and receive 2 new provs, I'd say they still have potential...

But TO is surely a must for one of the new players (or you). But if you switch to another nation, then we have to find 3 new nations (Devil, Fredrik and Dild).

Good nations imo:
Morocco or Algeria (to counter Duke's expansion in Africa, since he now has no limits in Iberia)

A Balcan nation with both slavonic and greek culture (perhaps if we change Albania, who has Albania and Hellas provs, into Hellas? Easy enough to do...)

Akk Koyunlu

Nippon. Yes, they are far away and will face little competition initially - but since they have bad tech, I guess that's fair.

Btw, Granada isn't the sole one without limits. DzD has lot of potential now since he has only AI nations in front of him in the east (like Pommern as well).


For exploration:
why not giving (if possible) at start of each session 1 explorer and conquistador? i mean, as random isn't too risky to get an unbalanced game (i don't know how is the odd to not get an explorer at all).

As to the exploration thing, I actually think it would be nice for a change that it's not so damn easy to explore and colonise everything... but maybe that's just me...

I am ok with it. but then add also a no map trading rule. so really some nations will have to get in europe what they can-t explore outside.

Concerning what nations should be payed I think that
Morocco/Algiers is a must.
Ak-K is a good nation as well.
