Okay guys, as some of you know I've been improving Hive's AoI mod by replacing his hanging flags with CoAs and whatnot.
This works fine as it's simply a case of exchanging .bmp files.
However, as of last night none of the pre-1701 (Spanish Succession) scenarios work. I can use any after that date fine, though, which I find odd.
Can anyone please tell me (or at least try to tell me) what I may have done wrong for this to happen? I find it somewhat of an enigma because it's just a select few scenarios, and they still don't work even after I've deleted the whole scenario folder and pasted the 2.0 - and then 2.5 - scenario folders from those AoI patches into the folder, so as nothing is edited in any way.
The only editing I made to any files within the scenario folder were to a) add "flagname = XXX" so countries start with alternate flags, and b) to add the line to make the scenario use Daywalker's AI mod. This is simply a case of adding a sentence and it works fine on my default EU2, so I can't see how this would make only certain scenarios not work. Besides, as I said I put the unedited scenario folder back in... same problem.
This is bugging me as you can imagine, so any advice is welcome
PS: By "not working", I mean the game crashes to the desktop so far into the loading bar on the pre-1701 scenarios.
