Portugal only needs Leone (795) and Arguin(802) + the islands to becom powerful , the provinces 801 and 802 were controlled by the Jolof (the portuguese tried to cristianize Jolof helping a rebellious prince, perhaps i would do and event for it) ..
The europeans shouldnt have colonies in West Africa until the XVIII century ( Seneagal ,Sierra Leone) and Jolof is the only coastal power in the region....

Having a pagan state at the coast will make it *easier* for europeans to colonize the region. Empty provinces with natives of varying ferocity need time, money and colonists to create a thriving colony (currently 5000 natives of aggresiveness 4 in province 799 and 800 as compared to aggresiveness 1 e.g. in Sierra Leone).
Conquering a pagan state in one war and converting it´s provinces pagan religion turns them into the owners culture with their whole population which will be easy for Portugal once the Treaty of Tordesillas event happens.

The Jolof "empire" was never an empire in the sense of a centralized state with a vast territory. It started as a small Mali vassal that became independent only in the 14th century and the "emperor" in the inland never fully controlled his vassal "kings" at the coast.
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wolof_Empire.jpg
So if Jolof would be created as a state it would always be small in comparison to Mail and never control the whole area of provinces 799/800. I would suggest full decentralization and having no national cores but only claimcores, e.g.:

claimedprovinces = {
799 800
}

1549 they lose control of their sub-kingdom of Cayor and 1555 Bawol so I can´t see any ruler in that time have military or administrative abilities of more than 3.

Well: Portugal doesn't conquer Ashanti or Benin very often in the gane ( they win money defeating Portugal sometimes...) ,so Jolof wont't have this problem either.
I agree with the claimed provinces (perhaps Jolof could gain cores having a certain centralization)
Abou th monarchs : Yes Jolof disintegrates in the 1550s , and i think that can be represented by and event of revolts and a change of monarchs to Cayor ( the most powerful "kigdom" after the dissolution)

I'm thinking in including the Great fulo "empire"(Futa tooro) that create problems to both Mali and Songhai. ... And the Fulani jihad states(Futa Tooro again , Futa jallon and a event for the Hausa for Sokoto...) .Perhaps some random event for the controller of hausa provinces creating revolts and simulating a atack f Kanewm bornu(state that isnt in the map)...

Well, it is always be good to have more events, but going back to Jolof, I see a few problems:
If its cores are claims, they will become national ones later.
I was also wondering if Senegal (which starts our Sunni) should be left with its religion.
In the 1648 scenario that province is a colony, should Jolof exist anyways?

Aside from that, here are the files that need to be added/replaced (still missing flag and shield and description needs to be changed) http://www.gamefront.com/files/23370182/Jolof.rar
When replacing fantasy byzantium's file delete the BYZ in the name.

Yes , JOL existed until the 1550s, but can represent the kingdom of Cayor (the most important of his sucessors ) in the rest of the game. The provinces 800 and 801 need to be pagan ( neither was musim until te jihads in the XIX century..) And the files in 1520 and 1648 are wrong in Senegal . the only european post was Goree and it doesnt deserve the representation ( the Gaold coasty was a more important source of gold and slaves )

The "Kingdom" of Cayor did not even control the area of ONE of the FtG maps provinces. When one searches for it on that map it´s TINY and would better be represented by an empty province with some aggressive natives and later some revolts against the french.

Actually there were already muslims in senegal hundreds of years before
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senegal#History
especially as parts of the area already belonged to a muslim empire

What about french St. Louis

or portuguese Guinea?

Right now Ethiopia has plenty of events for domestic policy but, aside from the chain for the war against Adal, there isn't much to do as far as expansion is concerned, so I made these 2 events regarding Nubia and Egypt (note that I used the only IDs mentioned in the file):

I have several problems with the 1419 setup and events of Ethiopia (ETH) and it´s neighbour Adal (CYR):

1)
Adal starts the game with a core on the capital of Ethiopia (province 1517) so gaining a casusbelli in event 155001 is useless - they already have a permanent CB due to the core. And because the capital could be taken only in the last war, they will have that CB as long as ETH exists.

So - either we remove the temporary CB from the event or remove the starting core in the 1419 scenario on 1517.
I would suggest removing Adal´s starting core on ETH´s capital.

2) ETH event 165011 moves the capital to province Shewa (1517) - where it already is from the start of the 1419 scenario...?

Has the capital be somewhere else in former versions so that that move actually made sense? Or is the capital move command simply useless?
Reading up on Abyssinia it seems that before Debre Berhan (newly founded capital in Shewa province which we have an event for) there was no fixed capital but that the emperor

3) ETH starts with cores on provinces 1518, 1519 and 758 of Adal, so provinces on all provinces that modern Ethiopia has. However Ehtiopia or rather Abyssinia was far smaller for most of it´s history, retreating to the Abyssinian Highlands in the west of the country.

Only in the 19th century under Menelik II. did Ethiopia in several campaigns fully conquer the lands of modern ETH

I suggest to remove those 3 cores in the 1419 start scenario and give them later by event, e.g. 165019 but only as claimcores.

4) Ethiopia/Abyssinia defeated the Sultanate of Ifat only in 1415
I suggest to change the nationalcores on Shewa and everything south and east, so 1517, 1589, 1590 to claimcores and create an entry in the 1419 files that ownership changed only 1415 so that ETH will suffer the 3% nationalism/local resistance in those 3 provinces.
