I've tried the beginning a lot of times, no more than 1 year.(in the game)
and about 10 times
Otherweise I would have lost the confidence.

And during the game, if I've made a wrong disicion by events, I should begin by Autosave, it was 4 times.

It's clever to attack the enemy after they having just sieged, for that they have low mortal.


Move slider to land and recruit cavalaries in Quanzhou, separate your armies so that Artilleries don't slow your speed.

Keep Jiangxi in your control , Manchu had more army, you should gather enough cavalaries!!

Pick out all your cavalaries and move them to the plain and 4000 soldiers with all artilleries in one army, other infantary in another army.
Let the soldiers with artilleries siege and others wait to hold a line

After having made peace with Manchu, I joined the alliance with Burma ,Annam ,Lan Xang and Ayutthaya, so that this time I can get helper, it was serveral months just after the peace 1649.

You can't just annex a country, you have to make 'em bleed 1st:

you make a 1st war and ask all provinces you can (or your warscore allows you to) YOU CAN'T ASK CAPITAL (!!!) in 1st war, unless it was a 1province nation (like in Germany); you have to strip your foe down to his last province, his capital

then make a second war to annex them.

There were 50 milionen population in 1620, and only 10 milionen population in 1651.
The Manchu army had killed most of the innosence citizen.
They killed all the citizen, sometimes they only kill male citizen.
Original command of the Manchu commitee:

After their invasion:
Zhili(Hebei):One sight man can see the border between the sky and the earth, the farm are empty and devastated.
Henan:All man can see is weed but rarely some people.
Sichuan:So empty as the world was new created.
Hunan: You can't see people and smoke

So I can now understand why I can't recruit armies, but the area which manchu had captured should have little population, but not the southern Ming.

During the peace, you should prepare for war 1 year before you decide to make war.

One war after another, at the beginning, Ming has little Menpower.

You can manage it too, as you get half China, Korea and other nations will no more stand on the side of China.
