2. What should we do with 1632 election?

As I suggested: even if Gustaf Adolf would be chosen by AI or player the week or two later (when the news about his death could reach Poland) an event making Wlady a king should be triggered anyway. His elections could only provoke some kind of turmoil so.

Or mayby a choice between Wladek and Katarzyna, GA's daughter?

I propose two versions of election 1587.
a) Normal version in flag "execution" is set.
b) Hardcore version if flag "execution" is not set. Then we will have Jan Zamoyski as a candidate (I imagine him with 9/9/9 monarch with centralization, but gigantic rebell risk). In 1605 a choice between Zygmunt and Tomasz Zamoyski.

She was too young at this time (only 9 years old). But we can add her to 1669 elections, where she historically was a candidate.

Well I feel Zamoyski as “king” would mean just the end of the state really, which would die in permanent civil wars and rokoszes.

I don't know if it would be as fun, but you could also consider automating the elections by having MUS choose the candidate and then spawn an event telling what monarch was elected. However, that might require too many events.
Interesting proposition. I think we should consider something like this while making later elections (the 18th century).

Actually Zamoyski would most likely become the king if he hadn't made that mistake with Zborowski.
Well, there will be a real revolution in Lithuania with him as a king. None of Lithuanian magnates would ever support anyone equal of their noble rank.

Ok, as soon as we finished all this economy stuff (I hope at last :)), it will be nice now to address elections events. Here a list of the candidates I would like to offer to include in them (some of them just for fun ;)).

I am not really following it, but execution Sejms of 1560-ties also could add tax (like grain events), then we can safely remove it in XVIIth century.

Then I would propose to keep whose privilies tax drops (maybe shitf dates a little) as they would imitate decrease of royal domene during life of earlier kings.

I agree. Could you fix this?

But then you need to make them smaller at last.

With this done I believe we should submit all the stuff together.

e.g. Habsburgs have one event that just turn multiple of provinces back to catholicism (so it looks like turning protestantism on in vanill game). IMO that event and similar for Poland and other countries with historically significant counter-reformation effort could fire counter-reformation mod.

Comments?

Just as an aside. Doesn't Poland already get one free conversion with the 'Treaty of Brest" event? Lithuania gets two under the Conflict over Religious Tolerance event.

No, Poland only may convert to Counterreformed or switch back to Catholicism if non-Catholic in "Jesuit King" event. "Treaty of Brest" only converts some provinces to the state religion.

Why not? :D However, historically he would accept Catholicism anyway. Still I prefer to replace him with Christina (just added him for fun as it was said :)).

No, that's a funny and even historical option. The heathens of Crimea would become Polish vassals and even have a chance to accept the One True Faith®. ;)

I would like to see Michal Korybut, Christina of Sweden, Crimean Khan and Karl of Lorraine on that election. We would save the grand Conde for the next one.

I am against taxdrops in all privileges. Privileges shifted the power to impose taxes from king to Sejm. But they were paid annually. During the EU2 timeframe also England and Netherlands experienced the same shift. Surprisingly, they do not get the tax penalty.

The tax does not represent solely the royal domain/royal income (if so, Queen Bona event should add massive taxbonus). It represents the richness/development of the province and is one of the main factors in the game. It affects for example the supplies of the province and the techspeed of the country. Due to taxdrop privileges Poland becomes a technological backwater. That it is completely unhistorical. In some of my games even Russia developed faster.

P.S. herr doctor should also erase taxdrops from Lithuanian events

Unfortunately I could not agree here, as Louis de Condé was the second most important candidate at this elections supported by the majority of the Lithuanians and huge Polish pro-French faction (in addition supported by resigned Queen and her court). If Michal I would be not elected, then it for sure would be French candidate. Without Condé the elections would lack one of the main players. So, you should switch rather Christina or the Khan :)

Yet, as always, the true reasons for the crisis were deeper. The Commonwealth’s grain-focused economy was unable to reform itself and introduce more developed forms of production and trade. The crisis resulted in hiperinflation, pauperization of lesser nobility, strengthening of serfdom and deterioration of cities. AS you see, the tax bonuses in gran trade, recovery and crisis event now nullyfy themselves.

I also believe that taxdrops from privileges should be replaces by the Deluge event.
