my heart is thumping and tears are in my eyes... that so should be our national anthem. not crappy old god save the sodding queen. its about as inspiring as a funeral dirge.
Doge Robert said:Hmm.. Czechoslovakia among the Axis? The question is whether or not this aids or hinders you.. True, they may somewhat aid Germany, by building divisions, but on the other hand, it somewhat limits the Reich, if even a little, resource and IC wise..

Kurt_Steiner said:How true... the Armada, for instance, wasn't defeated neither by Drake nor the British weather. When the fleet was anchored off Calais, Medina Sidonia had the perfect plan that would allow him to beat Drake for good but then the Spamiards discovered the secret habits (about drinking, eating and so on) of the Brits through a prisioner. It was so outrageous that Medina Sidonia, using his wits said the famous but not recorded words:
-Una tortilla, mi reino por una tortilla (An omelette, my kingdom for an omelette).
Some other sources states, nevertheless, that he just said:
-The horror... the horror... the horror.
My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great (some greats later)- great-grandpa, who wasn't there (someone had to take care of the wives and sisters and daughters of the heroes while they were away. I know, it's awful and painful, but that's our duty, to take care of the lonely ladies), claimed that he just said:
-What the f***!!!!
The rest it's history.

Now it is just so much cooler to see those massive guns turn broadside a let rip an earth shattering volley at the opposing ships at 15 miles or closer, rather than from 300 miles away have planes from carriers drop bombs and torpedos: so boring.
But in the game... BB's against CV's, well if the distance isn't closed quickly all hell will brake loose. It is always a pain to fight the USN and RN when they have nothing but a million CV's.
