Sounds interesting! You could even have the readers of this AAR involved in some way, like having them choose what your government, policy and the like will be. :)

The End of the War

Victory Day

It was on that Saturday morning, 23rd October 1943, That the war to end all wars ended. Many millions lay dead over the fields of Europe and the jungles of the Pacific. The clouds hung in the sky like a bedsheet, while Hitler stood on the balcony of the Fuhrerhaus, built recently in Berlin. It was at 7:00AM the celebrations began in Germany and it's European allies. For the Japanese, the celebrations were yet to come as the last American strongholds were taken by Japanese soldiers.

Only a month later on November the 20th, A mushroom cloud was reported to have appeared in the deserts of German North West Africa (formerly Algeria). The next day, it was confirmed that the Germans had exploded a weapon of tremendous force, known as an atom bomb.

A dispute broke out about the sharing of the Soviet Union. Germany wanted to annex it all, but Japanese soldiers invaded the East and announced it's annexation

Japan also left the Axis and formed it's own alliance with it's puppets. The Cold War had begun. Britain was given to Oswald Mosley as leader while France kept Petain.

Germany announced the completion of the Horst Wessel, a aircraft carrier.

Yup, hard. Those pesky kamikaze guys you had over there in those days weren't much of any good guys. Neither was the government. :p

Ummm... I'm guessing that if the war went well enough for the last strongholds of the americans to be falling to Japanese troops the Special Attack units would never have been formed... Totally agree that the Japanese government weren't much of anything. You only have to look at their policy decisions!

Hostility

As part of his 1944 New Year speech, Hitler said that the 'the sound of boots of German soldiers would soon be heard in Tokyo'. Japan broke off it's last ties with Germany and declared a state of reluctant co-existence.

On February 6th 1944, a Japanese atomic bomb was tested in the deserts of Nevada, JOA (Japanese Occupied America). The atomic race had begun in earnest. GOA (German Occupied America) was given limited autonomy but not much. For most of 1944, Germany increased the size of the Luftwaffe and the size of it's atomic arsenal. Japan placed AA-Guns in all it's major cities.

Also, in November 1944, Hitler suffered a minor heart attack and was put in hospital until Christmas. His doctors however concluded that he was suffering from stress obtained from managing WWII

 Nice! 'Now Herr Hitler, you should make a full recovery, but you must take these pills three times daily and avoid strenuous Blitzkrieging for at least six months...'

Looking forward to the next update, Telstar!

Beginning of the Arms Race

1945 was a year of arming. Germany produced many more planes and tanks while Japan expanded it's navy. Italy invaded Switzerland but struggled to make much progress. Hitler's health deteriorated and a power struggle emerged between Martin Bormann, Heinrich Himmler and Hermann Goering. Through 1946, Japan carried out many nuclear tests. In 1947, Hitler suffered a stroke and by Christmas he was on his deathbed.

It was on January 3rd 1947 that Hitler died. Bormann, Himmler and Goering established the Triumvarate but it was known that this couldnt last.....

i like the idea- a cold war between German and Japan both with their own puppets, an excellent idea.
