I once saw a Consumerist Deseret while i was building up my Iowan empire, it was actually pretty powerful.
On that note, just downloading the update now, any advise on fun places to start as?
Deitcherei, Southside, Sanguaney, Navajo, Comache, Caribou (if you would like a challenge), Magdalen Islands (the islands, full of pirates, that aren't part of the The Maritimes near Cape Breton Island)

Personally, I like the Mormon countess in Deseret. Setting your succession law to Enatic and proceeding to constantly marry and or seduce the President of the Mormon church and the current preferatus is a very effective way to get free stuff. Slowly taking over Deseret by doing so is quite entertaining.

Speaking of this - I appreciate that this mod keeps the gender succession laws open for the most part, but should enatic laws really be available to Mormons? Everything about historical Mormon theology and church structure says even agnatic-cognatic should be pushing it. They are not fans of women in authority positions.

Not saying every branch of AtE Mormonism has to be that way. Seems like a great opportunity for a fun heresy, at least.

Okay I'm having some trouble with this... I'm not the best with computer stuff, unfortunately. Can someone give me an 'unzipping for morons' for how to get this mod? I've got a mod folder and I extract it to there, but then the mod wouldn't appear under the mod section. I deleted the mod folder and made a new one, and now the mod tab isn't even clickable.

In my current game, all the Anabaptists seem to be converting to High Church for no apparent reason. Deitchrei, Hudsononia, Manhattan, all High Church. Can anyone explain why this is happening or is this just random CK2 stuff at its finest?

Getting a fairly frequent CTD after the year 2700 for no apparent reason. I have reloaded several times and it happened in the August and November that year. Playing as the catholic Cherokee king of the Ozarks.

Edit: that year being 2701

Reloaded in August and it happened a third time in September 2701

I think it's random CK2 at its finest (I've seen Connecticut go High Church for a while before being attack by Gothamite Consumerists and later flipping back, as well as parts of Quebec and the Kingdom of Ontario flipping to Anabaptist, the spread of the Ursuline church in New England, Manhattan (thanks to Champlain), and eastern Long Island (due to a host war) with a Yankee Occultist invasion of the Maritimes (from an area in Cotê-Nord) that succeded and eventually flipped to either to High Church or Urusuline (I forgot which). And also, the Russian invasions and the only Japanese invasion have, so far, failed spectacularly (2 (Gran Francisco and Jalisco (Trade Republic)) out of the 3 of the times (they're going to lose the war to the massive Haida kingdom, soon to form the Cascadian Empire with most of the NW plus Jefferson under their control), the Russian leader got captured along with the leader of the Japanese.)

People were complaining about how a lack of de jure empires potentially was causing crashes upthread. In response, someone released an Empires submod, which allowed for the potential creation of a de jure Empire of America if you met the requirements as well as adding some new de jure empires that previously did not exist. I'd like to make the suggestion to integrate that mod into the main game, with one adjustment in particular.

In a few other mods, and I'm thinking of HIP in particular, there is a decision you can make at the beginning of a game to disable ahistorical empires. I am curious as to whether adding these new de jure empires, but giving the player the option to make their creation impossible at game start, would resolve the crashing issue (if it really was a lack of de jure empires that was the cause).
