Personally I'm hoping for some unique nomads, like the Steel Horse Cowboys (biker-cowboys inspired by various things, primarily cowboy mythology, the Dallas Cowboys, Johnny Cash songs, and Bon Jovi) or something wild like that. I'm a big fan of weird government types, especially in post-apocalyptica.

So in my current Mictlantec (hope I didn't butcher the spelling) playthrough, I just sacrificed the Edokko invaders to the glorious pagan gods for 400 piety. Feels so good :D

Where is your immortal emperor now?

Wait, if Neo-Gnostic needs the same holy sites as Catholic, explain High Church.
It represents Anglicanism in the mod

I'm not arguing that; it's just that the mods said Neo-Gnostic had to have the same holy sites as Catholic; but High Church, an evangelical heresy has different holy sites from its parent religion.
You're right, I'm wrong. Earlier today I checked the religion file and looked at the wrong thing. You're correct that High Church is an Evangelical heresy, and that it has different holy sites from its parent religion.

I don't know why the neognostic holy sites I set didn't work. Maybe I'll revisit that option once we're past the upcoming thrice-yearly nightmare of fixing things broken by a DLC release.

(As a side note, we're not mods... devs is probably a more appropriate term.)

speaking of the high church, why is it that they are a heresy of evangelicals instead of a sect even though much like the ursulines and catholics, they are far away from evangelical territory? doesn't it seem kinda awkward that a sect of one major religion and a heresy of another just merge and create a new quasi-ecclesiastical state? it's like if the Sunnis and Alawites banded together to reform islam. wouldn't it make more sense if the High Church was a sect (due to distance + theological differences) or the Ursulines be a catholic heresy (political objections)?

ah don't be so pessimistic about the DLC! AtE is generally debugged and patched so quickly that by the time other mods get patches, HOI 5 might as well be in stores by comparison!

also: "we're not devs, we just play ones on the internet" ~ wierd ramblings of aruon, 2015

On that note; will we see some places as nomads? I'm not sure if any societies should get it.

well maybe the less developed areas around texas, new england, and the north and northwest could have them. central america too if sagrado corazon gets balkanized

I'd recommend nomads in the great plains (would do better for most tribals between the Mississippi and the Rockies, maybe even Colorado too), Manitoba/Alberta (maybe, tribal might suit them better), and, of course, the areas around Texas. I'm imagining most of the Texan culture counties would be nomadic with nomadic Texan rulers, and a large Comanche feudal state attempting to lord over them. That would make the area even more interesting than it already is, with the cultural conflict. It also strikes me that the Aggies and Longhorns could be clans with blood feuds rather than warring states, although I'm not sure if that's the best option there. Maybe the Cowboys and the Rangers could be represented somehow as well with clan politics? Texans love their football. At a stretch I could also see them in Arixo (don't know enough about the atomicist lifestyle) or the Northwest, though it should probably stay tribal. Doesn't have that steppe feel. Definitely not New England, a nomadic lifestyle just would not work there, and it doesn't really suit them culturally. If Nomads are planned south of the border, then I recommend the deserts of northern Mexico, possibly Arixo as well. Not sure where else they could reasonably fit in in there, but I am no expert on Latin America. Anyway, no matter what you guys do I'm sure it'll be excellent, just my two cents.

With the release of government type modding, are we going to see more republics and such around the map, now that they're playable? I for one would like to see at least one americanist inland republic.

yeah chances are, all vanilla and and mod-unique governments that were formerly unplayable will get modded playability. looking forward to the papacies myself.
