I admit I also didn't know this book before the mod was made, but from the premise seems really cool. It certainly figures in my increasingly long "To read" list.before this, i'd never heard of that book. now i really want to read it. apparently it's a total classic.

I don't foresee any traits that are specific to drug use. From a role-playing angle, you can assume that characters with the Hedonist lifestyle trait are using opium, weed, or other drugs. Characters with the Mystic lifestyle trait may be using psychedelic drugs in an attempt to gain esoteric knowledge about the secrets of the divine (or the universe, or their own minds, etc.)
With a bit of imagination the Drunkard, Slothful, and Gluttonous traits could also represent the negative effects of these kinds of intoxicants.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that's amazing! Thank you.The latest Github version and the upcoming 0.6 release include default county/duchy/kingdom/empire flags for all religions, rather than using Muslim style random flags.
Are wars of conquest not enough? When you see 8,500 casualties after a battle, imagine 8,000 wailing widows, 11,000 orphaned children, and 4,500 parents grieving for a son who died too young. Better yet, imagine a naive farm boy who picked up an axe to go to war, and now cries for his mother as he holds in his guts.Maybe we could come up with some other way to become rich/powerful off destroying the lives of the people under your authority? it doesn't have to be drug related. Maybe slavery? or cannibalism? Something to do with radiation? Maybe atomists could vent radiation over the court/province, risking making everyone in it sick and screwing up the province for X amount of years, but giving them lots of piety and prestige?

Hmm... is that a little too dark for an otherwise somewhat silly game?

They just fixed that a couple days ago in the GitFound something wrong with the Brazilian invaders on my last playthrough with 0.5 before my current game with an updated version of the mod. Haven't gotten the Brazilian invaders in my current game yet, but after looking in the localization files I think the problem is still present. Their religion, Candomble, doesn't have a description written for it in localisation. When you mouse over the icon, it is something like ADJ_TXT instead of full description. No wonder the Brazilians on that game converted to the Sagrado Corazón as soon as they could!
We just haven't gotten to that yet, though it may be a good place to add a bit of lore to the world.Wow, I remember seeing something about this mod waaaaaaaay back (before the first release maybe?) thinking it looked good, and then forgetting all about it. Good to see its come so far.
I'm getting some sort of error or placeholder message in the descriptions for the recommended/interesting characters. Problem at my end or just not added yet?
I understand marijuana is often a social drug. Also it would make the trait not a complete wash. +5 opinion is nice, but not worth -1 in all stats. Same trait is what I meant, sorry. Neo-Gnostic characters could just have to make an even with the two options being smoking and not smoking with a -20 prestige hit to switch at will in the decisions menu. -10 opposite trait penalty, +5 same trait. Why +1 dip?
Also, +5 same trait might be better? then it could spread out and you could have a decision to trade in it, earning you money but giving the trait to your courtiers.
Although a fictional future drug would probably be better, both for forum rule and so you could have way more fun with it, reasons. Something even more destructive than meth so you could make money off killing your vassals and courtiers would be cool.
Bruh, "role-playing angle"? What is this, a game for nerds? LEGALIZE MARIJUANA 2666I don't foresee any traits that are specific to drug use. Also becoming a marijuana dealer would be hilarious and would give Colorado something special to do besides having a shitty religion (though removing negative traits is a nice add-on), bad, tribal holdings, and aggressive Mormon neighbors which it always loses to.
