Yea same dude i noticed the same in my game everyone seemed to be in open succession laws. And i thought the iqta laws were kinda off.

I just and seem result. But unless i got a diff one. You got a link to the one you're referring to?
Nobody should have Open succession in the latest Github version. If you're using that one, I don't know what to tell you.

Hey guys don't often post on the forums but can someone either smack me upside the head tell me if im just missing it in plain site. But having a problem with this one submod the https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?attachments/ate-hodgepodge-rar.303828/ one. I got all the other submod's installed and they seems to be working but this one for some reason just will not show up in the mod panel when the game launch's for some reason. Hopefully one of you guys can set me straight or redirect me to a post already made about this thanks guys.
I think you're actually supposed to just overwrite the vanilla AtE files with the contents of that folder.

The creators are still working on the mod, but they're taking a bit of a vacation. The last full release of the mod got completely broken by something Paradox did in 2.7.1, and the creators of the mod don't want to release another full version until the next DLC comes out, so things are a bit weird right now.

So I've been playing a Caribbean game lately and something's off with the temple inheritances. Instead of generating a new character when the temple owner dies, the game reverts the title to their top liege. This has been happening with both myself and the other vassals in the realm. What I have to do is just grant the temple to someone else, but that's not the problem. The problem is that the top liege also inherits the temple vassal's money as well, which I think creates a balancing problem, since everybody seems to be floating in cash all of the time. I think that the best approach would be to treat temple inheritances like in vanilla.

EDIT: Just realized there was a GitHub version that is recommended. I will download it and see if the problem persists. What version of the game is recommended for the mod right now? Should I revert it to 2.7.0?

After the End Judaism Submod v0.2a is here! I realized just after I released the last version that there were still some bugs and things I'd like to change, so I just went ahead and made a new version. I'll try to cool it with the constant updates for now - I've implemented more or less everything I initially wanted to anyways.

Bugfixes:
  • Fixed bugs related to Jewish physician and courtier events. You should be able to actually receive and accept Jewish physicians.
  • Yiddish culture rulers now have access to all 4 tiers of the New Yorker Militia cultural building, as well as New Yorker Militia retinues.
  • The entire Blumenkrantz family is now Reform instead of Orthodox. (Previously, only the head of the family was Reform.)
  • Judaism uses jewishgfx instead of westerngfx - rabbis should no longer look like monks.

Changes:
  • A new loading screen image has been added - it's a painting by Maurycy Gottlieb named Jews Praying in the Synagogue on Yom Kippur.
  • Lazar Rothschild is now Zealous rather than Gregarious. Before this change was made, he had a tendency to convert to Americanism within a few weeks of the start of the game.
  • The Shomrim holy order's size has been altered - they tended to start with an unreasonably large number of troops after being founded.
  • Yiddish's map color has been altered slightly because I thought the old one was a bit harsh on the eyes. It's now more reddish and less purplish. Neoladino's color remains the same.

  • Yiddish emperors are now called Keysers, and Yiddish kings will be called Melechs even if the ruler isn't of Jewish religion.
  • Even more titles have unique names for rulers of Yiddish culture.
  • Crusade weights have been shifted slightly - notably, New England now has a crusade weight.
  • Yiddish and Neoladino cultural empires have been added. Credit to to User:Hosmich for the Yiddish Empire flag, User:Zirland for the background of the Neoladino Empire flag (Simple Andalusian flag), and User:Frater5 for the menorah in the Neoladino Empire flag.

For some reason, the Judaism submod is causing all feudal rulers (and bureaucratic ones) to have the Iqta government type.
Weird, that isn't happening at all on my end. Are you sure you're using the latest github version of AtE?

The main mod hasn't been updated in two months, so I'm pretty sure I am? Disabling the Judaism submod causes all rulers to have the proper government type.

Beats me, I've been playing as an Occultist without the Judaism submod, and while my government is feudal; I still have Iqta tax obligations (no clergy tax), along with occasional Iqta/Islam event text. Many other religions are the same way, while some aren't.

Probably just best to wait until the next big update anyways.

I was able to fix the issue with Iqta tax obligations and other things like muslim flavored events for the theology focus by adding the muslim religious group into the religion file. It didn't add any characters of that religion but it did fix a lot of bugs that came from the game trying and failing to find a muslim religion group.

If this is how you are fixing this bug then the Judaism sub mod will definitely undo it and you shouldn't be surprised that it does. It overrides the 00_religions.txt file.
