I second that. I think that the Caribbean cultures like Haitian and West Indian should use the west African portraits, while Motowner and/or Tuskegean should use the east African portraits. If you have the west African portrait pack but not the East African one, all of those cultures should use the west African portrait pack.
Wait, there are East African AND West African portraits? Also, are there any characters using the Turkish face pack because one of the mesoamerican characters appears Asian and I know that Turkish culture defaults to Mongol faces if you don't have the Turkish face pack (or the cuman or the other steppe portraits)I second that. I was wondering, is there some kind of 'Brotherhood of Steel' like faction in this mod?
The East African portraits are new with the Reaper's Due Content Pack.Wait, there are East African AND West African portraits? It's not a bug that the Kingdom of Death Valley can't be created, it's supposed to be that way. Mostly for aesthetic reasons...,snip.

They're based out of Mariposa, fittingly. If the Rust Cult is reformed there'll also form a Midwestern Brotherhood holy order based out of Chicago (the event explaining this even has the Midwestern Brotherhood be a breakaway faction of the Steel Brotherhood). There's a mercenary company of rust cultists based off of them in San Francisco. Steel Brotherhood, I think
It is intended for Miclantec and Sagrado Corazon characters to be able to intermarry (nearly all the Central American religions can intermarry, it seems). As for the physician thing, I'm pretty sure you can always marry your courtiers regardless of religious differences so this is really more a vanilla issue regarding the AI's willingness to do so (you can see in the main forum a few examples of Muslim Saxons that arise from similar issues with physicians). They're part of the Reaper's Due content pack (also, how has nobody made an Overwatch joke about that DLC title yet?). You should look at those portraits, they look great.
I found a small bug with regards to the Miclantec faith; they seem to be able to marry anyone.
Here, the queen of Hudsonia married the Miclantec butcher doc that you can get as a random event, and in the same playthough, one of the Miclantec queens who I am currently in the middle of stomping into the dust as the Sagrado Corazon king of Mexico offered a matrilineal betrothal between her and one of my excess sons. I don't think this is intended behaviour.![]()
As far as I can see, there is no culture in 0.8 wich uses the new east african faces. Is there any plan to implement them? Personally, I find them more good-looking and fitting than the old west african ones.
As cool as the portraits look, I can't shake the feeling that the are scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to portrait packs. Paradox, does you mad face obsession know no bounds? Will you not rest until every county has its own face pack? Are we doomed to do this until you release the Ulm face pack as the trumpets sound? They're part of the Reaper's Due content pack (also, how has nobody made an Overwatch joke about that DLC title yet?). I changed the text to reflect the setting. In the past we re-localized dozens of vanilla events to refer to locations in the New World, but I'm sure we missed plenty more like the Cadaver Synod. We appreciate pointing out ones we've missed.Even replacing "Rome" with "New Rome" and "Tiber" with "Mississippi" would fix it.
