Talk about the Sagrado Corazon getting a heresy isn't new, and I support the notion that they could get a stereotypically evil one. All hail the Cult of Devils! Praise El Diablo!

If Sacred Heart has an "evil" heresy, why not also include folk-saints like Jesus Malverde and urban legends like La Llorona? Certainly add a more distinctly Mexican flair than just people worshipping the devil.

Are you kidding me? I was going to suggest to add Jesus Malverde (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesús_Malverde) to their pantheon and you beat me by 7 minutes.

Wow, I can't belive this.

I really feel that there should be some reformation to the Brethren, like if the Pirates got organized. Their Gods of the Ocean would now be a proper Pantheon, with the God of Storms as the head of it, and there would be a head (I think Captain would be proper, but I don't know) who could call Great Plunderings (I thought this one off the top of my head) and do all that stuff religious heads do.

Also, I hate the fact that there are Riverlanders in Cincinnati and Anabaptists in Akron. They make sense, but I just hate it.

I really support adding Lutherans into the Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee area as a Catholic heresy. I've felt for a while that the Southern Wisconsin-Illinois area could be improved and adding a small rival to Catholicism and the Norse could be entertaining. The idea of them fusing Martin Luther and Martin Luther King Jr. into the Sage-King Martin Luther would be awesome. I would suggest that they have a Presiding Bishop as a religious leader and either be based on the Papacy or the Pentarchy.

Why not "Lord High Admiral" or "Admiral of the Ocean Sea" for their religious head. I would likeo to see if the mod could merge the Yazidi Sheikh mechanics and the orthodox's autocephaly to create an Admiralty.

How are they Catholics if they worship a sun deity?

Syncretism.

Wait, do the Yazidi have mechanics? I just assumed they were a reskinned Sunni.

I like the name for the religious head, and I think autocephaly would fit quite well for a pirate religion. I might actually change the religion file a bit for my own personal use.

Perhaps it would help to think of the 2666 start date as more similar to the original vanilla 1066 start date than any of the DLC start dates. More than six centuries have passed since "the event", giving plenty of time to rebuild.
It's not like feudalism is necessarily a guaranteed end-state of chronological progression, though. The Eurasian Steppe was never feudal because in a place that isn't well suited to sustained sedentary but is well suited to grazing, that's what makes the most sense. And tribal realms existed in Europe for literally thousands of years before the onset of feudalism. In fact, looking at the historical record, tribes seem to become empires most naturally, and them feudalism only occurs when empires fall, growing up among its geographic heirs and sometimes (as in the case of Europe) spreading. In places like mountain ranges where travel is limited, empires don't arise in the first place.

Yeah, there isn't much reason it shouldn't be reformable, really.

If Lutherans were added as a Catholic heresy, I think the best thing that could be done for them mechanically would be giving them Autocephaly, thereby giving the Lutheran church the same Ecumenical Council as the Evangelical church, and implying that the two were united at some point. This would sort of work as a kind of inversion of how the High Church acts, being an Evangelical heresy with Catholic mechanics. Potentially have a decision where the Lutheran Church can mend the schism between themselves and the Evangelical Church, and now there's potentially a really amusing goal for a campaign of uniting all of the Christian denominations other than Falling Star and Anabaptists.

You know, the Russian invaders really ought to use the Russian Portrait Pack instead of vanilla faces if you have it. For those of you with Russian Portraits who want this too, for now you can simply go into the files and copy and paste the Russian graphical culture from the vanilla game to the Sibir graphical culture.
It should look like this:
sibir = {
graphical_culture = easterngfx

novorusskiy = {
graphical_culture = easternslavicgfx
graphical_unit_culture = russian
Then you can have your Russian Portraits for your Russian invaders!
3090caw.png

2utg4k5.png
NOTE: If you want the Russians to use their portrait pack but keep the clothes (Ushankas and such) that the devs have given them, change the Novorusskiy graphical culture to "easternslavicgfx" but keep the Sibir graphical culture "canadiangfx".

They can creat a special caliphate called "Yazidi Sheikdom", which require 1000 piety and direct control of the county of Mosul.

Maybe rename patriarchs to "Synods", than we can have the synod of Missouri, synod of wincosin, etc.

Yeah, there isn't much reason it shouldn't be reformable, really.

it would be cool if the bretheren were reformable but would turn into a merchant republic though. the idea for a "pirate republic" like as featured in AC4: black flag was a real concept. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Pirates

now that would be a hell of a power- a religion devoted to plundering under a merchant republic which needs lots of cash situated primarily on islands.

The issue with that is that the Patriarchate title is hardcoded, so in order to do that, the localisation for the Evangelical faith would also need to be changed.

You could also make the republic an option by making them tribal. That would probably make more sense with regards to the "pirate" political structure anyway: Not that organized or settled but with prestige you can get a lot of them. And they're light infantry oriented. Letting them start with one city infrastructure tech and tribal village already constructed to some level in the capital, so that they're substantially more likely to go republic than feudal even under AI.

The Sheikh is like the caliph, but with excommunication. YOU can't excommunicate people, but an AI sheikh could.

Maybe call the "title name" of synod? In vanilla you have "Patriarch of Alexandria", for example, as a title. Which is given to the pariarch that owns the city of Alexnadria. Can't we do the same thing?

Pirate's could probably use their own government type that gives them tribal counselor options while letting them have castles.

Any tips of increasing karma/prestige as the Celestrial Emperor figurehaed? I have control of all 5 Kingdoms (while still having only a single county...heh heh) but only hovering around 3k prestige and 1k karma. Been spamming events and Theologian focus, but I can't seem to raise it much higher.
