As the thread title says.

I completed a synthetic ascension as a fan. materialist/xenophobe empire, and while all of the various biological species in my empire were assimilated and became Arkandi, the synths I had built previously did not assimilate.

Now, this is already a little bit of a problem, as I can only give them residency (xenophobe can't give them full citizenship, materialist can't get rid of them, and since I synth ascended I can't make them just workers anymore) so they're a little unhappy. But what's even worse is that now on half of my planets I cannot build Arkandi pops. The option is there, but when I click on the Arkandi portrait, it continues to build my old synths, the Silbots, even though it takes 50% of current production away as if it did switch production.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it WAD that my old robot/droid/synth species did not assimilate to my ascended synth species?

It seems like an oversight that xenophobe/materialist behaves in this way, where you can easily assimilate any xeno to becoming your synthetic species, but can't do the same to previously manufactured robot pops.

I will attach a save and make a bug report later when I am able.
