I have already pre-ordered this game and I am very excited to be in this period of time, but I am wondering what the future of the game is considering its short timeline. Will expansions lengthen the grand campaign, will other dlc make it more fun for replaying? For such a cheap price (in my opinion) I don't see why they couldn't add more to increase the replay ability of this game! I just hope it does not become unplayed in comparison after time compared to other paradox games that are so endlessly fun.

Yep, no expansions, not many patches, no love. It was like the neglected lovechild of paradox preceding CK2. I don't think March Of The Eagles will turn out like that though, I have faith in the dev team and the concept is expandable, different start dates like the birth of revolutionary France etc, for dlc.

I guess when a game doesn't draw much attention from gamers then the game Devs sorta lose interest in the game. I don't think MotE will suffer such a fate.

I don't think March Of The Eagles will turn out like that though, I have faith in the dev team and the concept is expandable, different start dates like the birth of revolutionary France etc, for dlc.

I always thought of Sengoku as a prelude to the highly succesful CK II. You know, the slightly retarded cousin that no one wants to play with...

They made some mistakes and learned a lot, and that's why CK II was/is such a good game.

I think they really have made a winner with this one.
If they would change some things in the game (like "No Leader Casualties" WTF!), they could explore and make DLC's about the whole Napoleonic periode.

I'm really stoked about this one!

I dont think they really lost interest in the game, but I think that it being released so close to ck2s release date paradox decided to transfer the dev team to finishing up ck2 and that caused sengoku to stagnate, but it was still a good game in my opinion, and in my opinion had some features that are better then ck2 like its mercenary system, but your right in saying it never got enough love. I also dont see this happening with march of the eagles as it'll appeal to a much broader audience then sengoku, and likely make more money.

What would the later start date be about? The Franco-Prussian war? I don't think a later start date would mix well with the mechanics and focus of MotE.

Something along this line though, would not be missed. As long as it is indeed not another Sengoku we should be in good shape. DLC love from the developers would be wonderful.

Even if an army is completely destroyed the leader is fine? Kinda strange.
