I am just curious, please tease me and the rest of us!

We at Colossal will be focusing on making more stuff for Cities: Skylines. Free and paid updates, things we wanted to have in the game but didn't have a chance to yet. I bet there's one thing we all agree the game needs, can you guess what that is? ;) This is definitely something that has been asked for a lot, a new feature... Do you need more hints?

I hope I got that right, otherwise we'll have a bunch of angry people telling us it was the wrong choice, but hey, you can't win them all...


Cities in Motion <3, I love that game. My personal wish is to make a sequel at some point, but Cities: Skylines turned out to be such a hit we definitely will put all effort on it for the time being. And Stable Manager, you just wait. One day it will happen. So we will definitely make a new game at some point, but now the focus is on after After Dark, haha. The next game is not going to be CIM3, though, nor the Stable Manager :(

I think Trams are more likely...
I keep thinking disasters would not fit CSL very well


Same here, but between here and Steam the request count for both is pretty similar.

For me I'd prefer a Transport DLC with Trams, Ferries and if possible expanded Road options

Not too bothered about trams, its all ready very transport focused. Its becoming more transport management then city building.

Well traffic and transports are two of the biggest challenges in nowadays cities.
The other top issues belong to the social sphere and it's pretty hard to replicate them in a game like this

Hey Devs, regarding "Disasters" I honestly think you need to consider a ferry that transforms into an alien-bot-overlord, as a play-on/throwback to the original land dwelling ferry bug. This would be amazing, and so many lols would be had.

I would really dislike disasters. I am playing to create not destroy. I do however see the appeal of tearing down what you build up, but that quickly becomes old, and in the end, a feature seldom used, if at all. I used it exactly one time in Sim2013, and then turned off natural disasters. Waste of time in my book, to implement that.

Public transport is as important to a big city as electrical energy, heat energy, water. Without a good infrastructure a city would die. Sure, if you plan a city from the scratch and you build 12 lane inner city streets - the car would be the appreciated mode of transport. But since most citys are older than cars they don't have the car infrastructure and would die the 'car death' if there was no public transportation available. Also - kids, teens, old, poor - they all don't have cars and want to move aswell.
And since trams have a HUGE impact on city planning and the design of a city I really appreciate to hear that we get them. If you don't like - don't use.
But I grew up with tram tracks in front of my house and it's a nice childhood memory to hear the big steelmonster squeal throuh a curve.

For example: Mollstr/Otto-Braun-Str in Berlin where 4 Tram lines meet. The impact on the street layout in your city is huge!

They go hand in hand, you can't have a city builder without transport management. traffic is a massive component of city design.

If I wanted to just do city design I could fire up Cities XXL where I don't have bothersome things like a proper simulation to worry me to much.

Majority of cities dont have trams or good traffic. Successful cities are based on having good industry and high employment.

Traffic is important but not the priority which is what its become
