A Diplomatic Interlude

A litte state of the continent update.

There is currently only 1 active Coalition. This is led by France and currently Switzerland, The Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Tunisia and Tripolitania against Britain. Britain is supported in the war by Hannover and Cyrenaica.

The latest Anglo-French war started on August 31st 1811, Hannover and Cyrenaica have both been totally overrun as have the 2 Dutch provinces Britain took in the last Anglo-French War.

Britain has overrun all of Danish Norway that still exists and most of French Sweden.

Based on Warscore France is losing, they appear to have lost a lot of battles -32 for battles with a current warscore of -19%.

In the north Sweden is currently at war with Russia and has had it's ups and downs.
adi1_zpsbca83198.jpg

Britain has overrun all of Danish Norway that still exists and most of French Sweden.

The Russo-Swedish War has been going since November 1809. Sweden seems to be a bit on the rise again against the Russians. After their high point in taking Moscow all of Swedish Finland apart from Sveaborg was in Russian hands but this is now being reversed. However based on warscore the Russians are winning with +11%
adi2_zps1945dbdb.jpg

In the east Russia is on the offensive against the Ottoman's who at one point held most of the Crimea and a lot of Russian territory north of Persia too.
adi3_zpsc41acbd5.jpg

The Ottomans have been at war with Russia since June 1810 and based on warscore are currently winning with +11%

Britain has been at war with Prussia since May 1806, neither side holds any territory of the other and Britain has a warscore of -6% all due to battles.

I'm upto date now in terms of the AAR vs played turns and might not be able to get time for the next few days, normal service will be resumed soon.

Coalition Consequences Apr 1st to Jul 31st 1815

So, Algerian coin firmly tucked into pocket Prussia was considering getting above it's station in Europe. Time for them to learn the consequences of Coalition and to put them back in their box.

1st of April war is declared on Prussia.

The Prussian Army from Berlin moves into Austria at Eberswalde as Kollowrath-Krakowsky's 87,000 reach Berlin.

The Prussian's scurry back to defend their capital and a massed battle begins.

Prussia calls for allies.
coco1_zpsa154f378.jpg

With 3 field armies operating in Prussia at Berlin and besieging Modlin and Posen, and a further one plus the Galloper army on the way, we still have 4 to deal with the Ottomans.

After 8 days of battle the Prussian's withdraw from the defence of their capital.
coco2_zps32d7bdec.jpg

The next day von Bellegarde takes Modlin.

As von Bellegarde marches onwards to Thorn, von Hiller arrives to lay siege to Lodsch.

On the 3rd of May the Ottomans honour their pact with Prussia and declare war on us.

Josef who had been at Venezia and von Wurtemburg at Pressburg are moved forward to the Ottoman borders.

Still at war with Russia and with Serbia to fight through first we shouldn't expect the Ottoman to pose much of a threat.

Karl's army takes Posen.
coco3_zpsd07c56d5.jpg

With the Moldavian and Wallachians trickling over the border into our territory Karl begins a long march to their frontier zone.

On the 9th of May Ferdinand's army arrive off Tiran and begin to storm ashore to start the land war against the Ottomans.

Von Wurtemburg's army crosses the border to lay siege to Tuzla.

Von Borberek's army arrive at Stettin, they were pursuing the defeated Prussian army from the battle of Berlin but having lost track of them settle in for siege duty.

Prussia attempts to make peace with Britain but is rejected.

The missing Prussian army reappears and retakes Posen.
coco4_zpse0a72986.jpg

Von Hiller takes Lodsch.
coco5_zps425b81d2.jpg

Ferdinand's troops are still storming ashore at Tiran.

Von Hiller catches the Prussian's before Posen.
coco6_zps68ef83c1.jpg

Then retakes the city.

After a mighty 8 day siege Lodsch falls back into Prussian hands, von Hiller moves back to reconquer it.

Retaking the city von Hiller's army are too slow to catch the Prussians who slip into Austria.

The Prussians drive on towards Brunn seemingly headed for our capital, von Hiller follows.

In what can only be described as a stunning moral victory Sweden accepts Russia's offer of a white peace.

Ferdinand's troops are still attempting to land at Tiran.

We learn Line of File Instructions.

Thorn is captured when von Bellegarde storms the breach.

Berlin falls after 85 days of siege.

After clearing some stragglers from around Modlin the Galloper army moves to Bialystok to begin seige duties.

The Imperial Navy attempts to distract the Ottomans from the still progressing landing at Tiran.
coco7_zps8d6d5d1b.jpg

Von Hiller catches up with the Prussians at Olmutz.
coco8_zps189450b2.jpg

Another fleet action near the landing at Tiran.
coco9_zps5d15c29c.jpg

Ferdinand is still trying to land his troops, the Greeks have arrived and are already investing the town, it would be quicker to go elsewhere but we've started this and we'll press on!

On the 20th of July Ferdinand's army are finally ashore.

A combined Serbian and Greek force take Bosna-Saray.

Prussian makes it's first peace offer, it will concede defeat.

In the east the Egyptians have taken Yafa and are besieging Gazze.

9 days after Ferdinand made it ashore Tiran falls after a 71 day siege, the Greeks have obviously been here a while!

Tuzla falls to von Wurtemburg.
coco10_zps76f3e636.jpg

The Imperial Navy is shockingly bad! Both sea battles have run their course rather than withdraw from battle and morale has broken before we lost any ships.
Considering the nation we need to beat is Britain this does not bode well, plus over 2 months for a naval landing! I think we may have to settle for a prestige victory (or hope a patch update comes soon).

Siege Warfare Aug 1st 1815 to Feb 28th 1816

By the time Karl has reached the frontier our satellite states have dealt with the Ottoman satellites so the army marches south through Wallachia for Kutlofca.

Von Hiller defeats the Prussians at Warsaw.
sw1_zps75086f87.jpg

With no reports of Prussian troops in the field now, von Hiller marches to lay siege to Kolberg.

Ferdinand leaves hostile territory to take up garrison duty at Ragusa.

Stettin falls.
sw2_zps63d23944.jpg

Von Wurtemburg who has been unoccupied for a time marches for Plevne.

Von Borberek defeats the Prussians again.
sw3_zps5079b04c.jpg

Prussia offer further terms.
sw4_zps55d345e4.jpg

Von Wurtemburg reaches Plevne and storms the town before marching for Filibe.

Bialystock falls to the Galloper army who now target Augustow.

Von Borberek has marched along the Baltic coast encounters the Prussians once again at Friedland.
sw5_zpsb35a5573.jpg

The Prussians offer the same peace terms as last time with the same result.

Filibe falls to another von Wurtemburg assault. Next stop Sofya.

Von Borberek replaces the Galloper Army at Augustow and storms the town.

Kolberg falls after 74 days of siege.

Only Memel, Danzig and Konigsberg still hold out.

von Hiller retires back to Austria.

In the east von Wurtemburg takes Sofya and is ordered to drive for the Black Sea coast.

The Ottomans establish a blockade at Ragusa, the 2 Austrian fleets in port combine and sail out to confront the foe.
sw6_zpsdc0f12f2.jpg

Once again naval morale breaks before any ships do.

Kutlofca falls after 96 days of siege. Karl's army now move east for Rushuk.

The road building project in the Alps is completed.

Von Wurtemburg makes a breach and takes Burgas then swings south for Edirne.

After 9 and a half years of war Britain makes a White Peace with Prussia.

Karl creates and exploits a breach at Rushuk.

Prussia offers the same peace terms they have twice before.

Two weeks later they offer it again!

A Prussian army appears from nowhere and retakes Bialystock, von Bellegarde meets it in the field.
sw7_zps98bf5aa3.jpg

Karl takes Silistre, von Wurtemburg Edirne.

Prussia modifies their offer now proposing to add Lodsch to the peace deal.

In the east the Ottomans are where we want them, time to consider peace. We could take Wallachia from them or the territory west of Serbia they still hold.

Wallachia another time maybe.
sw8_zpsf627f067.jpg

Depot construction begins at Sofya and Bosna-Saray.

With the Ottomans no longer supporting the Prussians their warscore suddenly jumps and an opportunity presents itself.
sw9_zps6a8032a2.jpg

The reconquest of the Balkans and humbling of Prussia are now complete.
sw10_zps95e5d09e.jpg

Russia suddenly asks for territorial access, there seems to be nowhere that would benefit the Russians by having this and we don't really want them swarming over our lands when victory is so close at hand.

Just a few weeks left and we can declare war on Britain once again, is this really a good idea now? With the massed British fleets any attempt to land on Malta or indeed elsewhere would be suicide especially if it takes 2 months to get ashore!

Fortunately Dublin is not one Austria needs to take.

There are 4 remaining naval dominance targets to take, Valetta, Gibraltar, Corfu and Antwerp. 3 of those will require naval landing to assault and with the patch that can take upwards of 2 months to achieve. Britain has 108 warships. 2 months is more than enough time to get from wherever they are to the landing zone destroy the Austrian warships (36) and sink the landing transports.

The options to win the game I need to consider are : sacrificing large parts of the fleet and army to invade British territory. Relying on France and Spain to finally take Gibraltar. Wait it out for a prestige only win. Wait for a fix to the landing issue.

That's a very cohesive empire you have built, French Sicily is the one thorn in your side it seems. It would be a shame if you had to adjust your objectives because of the naval assault issue - perhaps it's worth hanging tight until there is a fix for this. I'm sure this Austria is destined for something greater than a prestige victory!

Thanks, it all seemed to be going so well til the patch, I decided to play on then discovered another, what I assume is a, bug. Pretty much a game breaker on top of the naval landing problem. As a result I'll post the next few months then I'm afraid this AAR will be postponed until a work around or fix is implemented. Or maybe I'll go off and play Britain for a while cos it looks like it's pretty much impossible for them to lose at the moment.

Thanks for you patience.

The War for Switzerland (part 1) Mar 1st to Jun 30th 1815

The plan of campaign this time round will be an attack on 3 fronts.

Von Wurtembug will land in Scilian territory and attack Taranto and Gaeta. Josef's army will attack from the Riviera towards Torino. Two armies will advance into northern France at Koln and Koblenz with a third taking the isloated French territorial outposts.
3 main armies will remain on reserve at Tubingen on the Rhine frontier, at Salzburg and at Padua. The Galloper Army will stay on reserve in Ulm.

Since the treasury is overflowing road building projects begin at Landeck, Bregenz and Serfaus.

Fleets are re-stationed to Livorno, Palma, Sassari and Napoli.

If France forms an anti-Austrian coalition I expect Spain to try and take back Palma.

On 11th April all forces are in position and war is declared on France.

In the first action of the war Swiss troops laying siege to Freiburg are dispersed by Ferdinand's reserve army from Tubingen.

Kollowrath-Krakowsky's army at Koln is split in half with the general and his staff officers taking 43,000 men to drive the Dutch away from Wesel.

Von Wurtemburg reaches and storms Taranto. His new orders are to take the minor towns on the eastern coastline before crossing the mountains and laying siege to Gaeta.

Kollowrath-Krakowsky's army disperse a Swiss contingent at Dortmund and then move on Wesel having gone further north to avoid a cross river assault.

Von Bellegarde's army having taken the isolated French possessions march south to lay siege to Mainz.

The siege of Wesel is lifted.
wfs11_zps541e24d4.jpg

The Dutch retreat to Nijmegen but are pursued and destroyed.

With reports of French recruiting on the Rhine frontier, Ferdinand crosses the Rhine and besieges Strasbourg.

The first French army appears on the scene, the siege of Koln is lifted and Kollowrath-Krakowsky's army reunites at Crefeld.
wfs12_zps5587ef2f.jpg

Von Hiller captures Koblenz and moves to Trier in the hope of giving the French a perilous river crossing to consider.
Finding the town lightly guarded he orders an immediate attack.
wfs13_zpsa184a889.jpg

Following the same plan his troops now move on to Metz, however with the town heavily fortified and garrisoned he drives south and storms Nancy instead.

The Galloper Army crosses the Rhine and lays siege to Landau.

Von Hiller moves east for Colmar.

Koln falls to assault.
wfs14_zpsb54926cb.jpg

The French appear to be in the area of Luxembourg, Kollowrath-Krakowsky carries out a reconnaissance in force in that direction.

Mindful of the wars ahead the naval build up continues in the Adriatic.

Since there has been no French coalition against us the Austrian fleets move to blockade the French Mediterranean coastline.

The French appear at Metz requiring the Galloper Army to lift the siege of Landau and retire on Ferdinand's forces at Strasbourg.
wfs15_zps22f8b2bf.jpg

The siege of Mainz continues undisturbed as 40,000 HRE troops are on hand at Frankfurt.

Colmar falls to assault.

Von Hiller is sent off to conduct a similar mission to Josef's army in the last French war, race across France storming as many towns as possible. The first target will be Chalons.

With the French halted at Metz, Kollowrath-Krakowsky marches south towards Nancy where he can turn north and meet the French without having a river obstacle.

Von Hiller encounters a small French force.
wfs16_zpsc91d63ee.jpg

Josef blows a breach at Torino and takes the city. His orders are now to take the French ports starting with Nice.

The faster moving French army strikes at Strasbourg before they can be halted at Metz.

With von Hiller and Kollowrath-Krakowsky approaching from the south and west and 32,000 Saxons from the north the French break off the battle.
wfs17_zps92df39eb.jpg

The French flee south but are caught at Colmar and mauled.
wfs18_zps9ce6e524.jpg

Sweden declares war on France.

Von Hiller chases a French detachment to Dijon where they are wiped out and the city taken.

Now the army returns to the march on Chalons.

Another brief encounter at Vesoul.
wfs19_zps9162fcf2.jpg

The War for Switzerland (part 2) Jul 1st to Sep 30th 1816

Josef quickly breaches the defences of Nice and takes the town.

Von Hiller takes Chalons by assault and marches for the French supply base at Lyon.

The Austrian fleet welcomes the "Destin" into it's ranks.
wfs21_zps1f7605d0.jpg

We adopt Artillery Schools.

Von Hiller storms Lyon and marchs west for Clermont-Ferrand.

At the start of the war France had an army of 240,000 men, now it has only 100,000. I don't think we have killed 140,000 French yet so there must be battles raging elsewhere.

20,000 of the French army are besieged at Chambery.

The Dutch lay siege to Koln, the Galloper army are dispatched from Landau once again to protect our conquests.

Karl and von Borberek's armies that had been on reserve now move forward to Ulm and Genova.

Von Hiller's march continues, Clermont-Ferrand falls and Bourges will be next.

Gaeta falls.
wfs22_zpsadc7affc.jpg

With Bourges captured von Hiller drives west for Tours.

The French sally out at Chambery.
wfs23_zps2ac32a41.jpg

Tours falls, Poitiers will shortly follow.

Our new depots at Sofya and Bosna-Saray are ready.

The von Hiller chevauchée continues as Limoges, Aurillac and then Rodez all fall.

Arriving at Montpelier and finding it too strong to assault von Hiller begins the march back to Austria, his army has lost 12,000 men on his raid across France and stands at just over 30,000 remaining.

France sends a tiny relief force to Chambery.
wfs24_zps7fc6f513.jpg

von Borberek's army crosses the Rhine and lays siege to Porrentruy which soon falls.

Mainz capitulates.
wfs25_zps60633a53.jpg

Josef takes Toulon.
wfs26_zpsb0d1a91c.jpg

Lannes, now in charge at Chambery tries to break out.
wfs27_zps03456fc5.jpg

The British appear from nowhere and sail away with a ship that should have been ours! We had 9 ships they had 5 who joined late to the fight too.
wfs28_zpsb6feecba.jpg

Von Hiller detours on his way home to storm Valence.

Lannes attacks from Chambery again, destroying his army and allowing the city to be taken.

Strasbourg surrenders after 145 days of siege.

The next day Landau falls after 92 days.

We could have had Switzerland a month ago but have held out for more, the French cannot refuse our terms.

wfs29_zps97834845.jpg

The map is looking a lot better now.
wfs210_zps73c692ed.jpg

The October War Oct 1st to Nov 30th 1816

<This installment would never have happened without the help of the Naval landing bug, I want to play on but don't want to waste time or the navy we have taking on Britain until the bug (assuming it is one) gets fixed>

Tunisia, on the western approach to Malta. With a fleet stationed at Tunis and at Trapani on Sicily or at Tabarka and at Cagliari on Sardinia we could get advance warning of British relief efforts when the time is right to attack Malta.

Karl takes to the transports and sets sail for Annana in Algeria from where his army will invade Tunisia. The Imperial Warfleets will blockade the Tunisian ports.

Tunisia is guaranteed by Spain and Denmark. Both are currently embroiled in a war with Britain, Spain's fleet has been reduced to 1 transport and I can't see the Danes getting too close by sea. Mecklenburg could be at risk but moving an army up there should make the Danes think twice.

On the 9th of October Karl's force are on the border and marching east for Tunis.

On the 10th both Spain and Denmark declare war in defence of Tunisia.
octwar1_zps5ef5acae.jpg

Von Bellegarde's army move north to Magdeburg.

Unexpectedly peace breaks out!
I'm not sure quite what happened here, did Britain demand those Swedish territories or did France hand them over to spite Sweden's war against them?
octwar3_zps7ee8bb92.jpg

Karl reaches Tunis and with a garrison of only 3418 in defence the decision is made to storm the city.
octwar4_zps86504b5e.jpg

A costly but surprisingly effective victory!
octwar5_zps76d95d96.jpg

Why stop now?

Von Wurtemburg's army arrive on African shores at Djerba, Tripolitania is also guaranteed by Spain and Denmark. It's not like they could declare war on us twice.

On 31st October we declare war on Tripolitania. Von Wurtemburg marches for Tripoli.

Britain forms a coalition against us, their new lackey of Westphalia joins.
octwar6_zps03af2de8.jpg

With a garrison of 8000, Tripoli will be besieged.

We get the Sava Mrkali and Reshuffling the Alphabet event. This controversy about the reduction of the Serbian alphabet reduces the revolt risk in Pest by 1. Apparently Serbians arguing makes Hungarians happy.

The Imperial Navy splits apart into 1 and 2 ship fleets to blockade the Spanish Mediterranean coastline.

At the end of November the unexpected happens.
octwar7_zps95ee376c.jpg

The blockade of Spain is lifted as the warfleets reform to meet the new challenge.

A Dilemma

It's here that things start to get tricky. In brief Britain declares war in December and starts attacking the Austrian fleet. There have been 3 naval battles. In total 27 Austrian ships have been engaged by 10 British. No vessels have been sunk on either side, however the British have captured 8 ships, a capture rate of 29.6%. I think this is a bug, I've reported it in the bug forum but no-one else has said or mentioned a thing in response.

I have the game saved at 1st Jan 1817 and 1st Dec 1816, I have all the screenshots for December so I could post and continue with the AAR, however I think these 2 bugs (again assuming they are bugs) are game breakers.

So here is the question. Do I play on and assume that the capture bug isn't a bug? Do I hold off and wait for a patch and replay December? Do I post the December month's play then wait for a patch and play on from January?

I really want to play this on to the end however I don't want a bug to force me into a lesser win than could be possible.

I've had less ships captured by the British, but I made sure my fleets had leaders (Spain has 4 admirals, but Austria only has 2), and had my fleets cower out of the way when any British ships were spotted heading for the Med. Uniting with fresh builds only occurred in lull periods, and I didn't bother with blockades.
You could try giving yourself a few low quality admirals (3/1/1)

Austria starts with no admirals at all :( If they added some in the last patch it did not added them to games in progress.
I'm not technially proficient enough to add generals or admirals to the game, and to be honest I wouldn't anyway even if I could.
As to the cowering away, I've sent fleets to chase the Brits I reckoned 10 vs 3 in our favour would yeild some of them sunk before our morale broke, I was not expecting each of the enemy vessels to sail off with a prize in tow!

Maybe I've just been spectacularly unlucky in my naval combats but I think it may be bugged to set capture rates too high, though no-one else seems to have reported a similar issue.

If I have time over the weekend I'll run some naval battles on other nationalities save games I have and see what happens.

Ah, both admirals have a #NEW next to them, along with 14 more generals. And adding leaders to save files is not so strait forward.
I suggested it as Manouver is probably an important factor in evading capture/escaping unmolested.

Caught on the hop Dec 1st to 31st 1816

The Imperial Austrian Navy is back on duty blockading the Spanish fortress of Ceuta having driven the Danes from the Mediterranean when another unexpected event occurs.
coth1_zpsb71be99e.jpg

Not content in declaring war on us before we declared war on them, the Brits take more than the initiative in this first encounter.
coth2_zpsd9781720.jpg

Off Tripoli the blockading force comes under attack too.
coth3_zpscd6f650c.jpg

The 8th Fleet at Palma are ordered to Tripolitanian waters, outnumbering the foe two and half times should redress the balance and restore some naval pride.
coth4_zps761a5481.jpg

Meanwhile on land the balance of power is slightly different.
coth5_zps88745a14.jpg

Over 100,000 soldiers of our satellites pour onto British, Hannoverian, Danish and Westphalian territory.

After the fall of Bremen, von Bellegarde's army march south for Britain's Dutch conquests.
coth6_zps5f298f4e.jpg

Back at sea the British Navy is intercepted off Tunis.
coth7_zps0ad82cbb.jpg

How did I honestly think there would be any other result?

We have lost 8 warships in 3 encounters, and 7 have been captured. 20 months of work in our shipyards would redress the losses, but how many more will be lost in the meantime?

It will be safer to stay in port, any prospect of taking Malta has vanished, Gibraltar was always a long shot now an impossibility. Should Britain choose Cyprus and Rodos will fall, as will Palma and Port Mahon. It will be impossible to stop naval landings but there will certainly be plenty of time to prepare a proper reception!

Unless we can negotiate a truce two of our armies will be trapped in Africa. And using the Anglo-Prussian War as an example this war is not liable to end until about 1825. We may have to declare war on the Ottomans just to get the troops home!

Diplomatically our bridges are well and truly burnt, only Russia and Sweden are friendly enough to join a coalition with us and they are both very friendly with Britain too.

Our great advantage in the days ahead is the power of our satellites, their armies stand at over 300,000 men. And 150,000 of those are in Bavaria, HRE and Saxony right at the heart of the empire.

Britain has trapped us both in an unwinnable war, neither power liable to back down and surrender. The greatest sea power of the age cannot hope to win the land war and we will have no ships left soon!

Insult and Injury Jan 1st to Mar 31st 1817

Off Port Mahon an unescorted British transport fleet is spotted, it's course suggests that it is making for the channel between Corsica and Sardinia. The fleet at Genova is sent to guard the eastern side of the channel.
iai1_zps0bf69430.jpg

Hannover falls, von Borberek, who led the united forces there now marches north to command the war against Denmark.

Ferdinand too, is ordered to the northern front.

The fleets strikes a blow in revenge. 28,000 British troops will not see action again.
iai2_zps809d98a1.jpg

The fleet manages to return to Genova where it is soon blockaded.

The first battle on the Danish front.
iai3_zpsb0311513.jpg

Leaving the Bavarians and Saxons to besiege Kiel and Hamburg, von Borberek's army rush on to attempt a crossing to Odense.

The Danes move their navy into the channel blocking the crossing. Von Borberek pushes north to Aarhus instead.

Von Hiller's army join the war against Denmark besieging the fortress at Frederica while Ferdinand's army capture the minor towns and establish supply lines.

Tripoli falls after 86 days of siege.
iai4_zps805e0902.jpg

The transports are ordered to move to the newly conquered city.
iai5_zpsd23bc3f7.jpg

<At this juncture I start to consider disbanding the entire navy, it's impossible to move a ship without the enemy appearing and every retreat from battle drops the warscore another point>

The Ottomans decide now is a good time to seek revenge.
iai6_zps242a8d25.jpg

It's decision time for our armies in Africa. Do we head west and try and inflict enough damage to drive Spain and therefore Denmark out of the war or head east and prepare to invade the Holy Land from Egypt when the Ottoman's declare war?

Von Wurtemburg's army begin the long march from Tripoli to the Algerian/Moroccan border. Karl's army is already there. The plan will be to ask the Moroccan's politely for access and storm the 2 Spanish fortresses on the coast. Hopefully we can force Spain out of the war before their troops starting appearing in eastern France.

March begins with good news and bad, Groningen falls after 66 days of siege leaving all the British lands and satellites on the continent in our hands, however the Ottomans declare war on us the very same day.

The Bavarians take Kiel.

After many failed attempts Ferdinand's army makes the crossing to Odense.
iai7_zps3a13359f.jpg

The town is well garrisoned and will require a siege to take, the army manage an easier withdrawal from the island.

The Ottomans make a White peace with Russia. Although they have only a third of our armed strength all our troops are either in the west or stuck in Africa and the Ottomans may be able to cause some trouble before we can commit forces to the region.

The road upgrades complete in Landeck, Serfaus and Bregenz any future alpine crossing should be less costly now. The new roads may be in use very soon to move troops to face the Ottomans.

The Saxons and Italians take Hamburg.

The Moroccans look likely to refuse us military access, to improve our chances we guarantee their independence.

The Russians get diplomatic!
iai8_zpsb2298f72.jpg

Austrian spirits are sinking faster than a British division!
