As I'm sure everyone has noticed, the increase to a -50 AE requirement has dramatically reduced coalitions across the board. This has definitely made the game more fun in a way, and overall I agree with the change.
What I've noticed, though, playing as the Ottomans, is... that I never get coalitioned, even after eating 100% warscore from Hungary and then conquering Vienna in the late 1400s. This is the sort of thing I'd expect coalitions from; in real life history the Holy Leagues repeatedly coalitioned against the Ottomans even without a disaster like Vienna falling.
And it's obvious why - because virtually all the nations with -50 or more AE against me have truces with me, and can't coalition me. Long truces generally, for as much as 15 years, by which time almost all the AE will be gone, and I can eat another 100% warscore without dealing with a coalition. These were generally either the nation themselves or the nations who were allied with the targets, and thus were part of the initial war; the only significant non-involved nation that even came close to -50 was Poland.
Thus my proposal - while you are in a truce with a nation, aggressive expansion decay with that nation should be reduced by -100% to 0 by default (but you would still get AE decay from any bonuses to better relations over time, which would counteract the -100% penalty).
That way, instead of forgetting all your wrongs by the time the truce timer expires, nations who you've taken huge amounts of land from will be prone to join a coalition against you as soon as their truce expires, to defend against further aggression on your part and/or to reclaim their lost lands, instead of having forgotten all your aggressive expansion by the time they have a chance to do something about it.
