My CPU does not have recommended stats, but does have minimum stats.

i7 3630QM 2.4GHz 2.4GHz
RAM 8GB
64 bit Windows 8.1

GeForce GTX 660M..

I think im lagging only in CPU speed.

Ok here's the issue: I never got any lags when I was playing the stock game.. It was smooth even when I played for 3-4 hrs straight. It froze for the first time after I added Sapphire skins mod.. After patch 1.1, I found out that was the problem and I removed those mods. Now its playing fine except it froze once when I enabled two additional mods: tree brush and terraformer. I have subscribed to 'First person camera mod' and 'Unlock all 25 tiles'. I'd like to use both. You think my CPU can handle 25 tiles? I dont wana play in 25 tiles and having to remove that mod later.. Honestly I have no idea what will happen if I remove a mod thats already applied to a game.

For the past week I am having to play the game on my laptop, i7 4700HQ with 8Gb RAM, and GTX 750M. Its not smooth at all but I have several mods which I dont want to remove as when I get back to my desktop it'll be as smooth as silk again. Adding mods will add extra CPU cycles and use more RAM, how much will depend on the mod, the larger the city gets, the more sluggish it will be. I have only used 6 tiles with a pop of 100k+ on this and its like treacle so 25 tiles would be hopeless but why not try :) I am not interested in using 25 tiles so never tried the mod but I did download a saved game from Steam which had used the mod and the 25 tiles were available when I played it so it seems its something in the saved files that enables the tiles, once the city is created I dont think you need the mod for that game. Anyway why not give it a go :)
