I've usually frequented the History Forum for a while now and all too often I've found the place at times being inundated by malicious ads - usually in what looks to be Chinese, Japanese and/or Korean writing. As an example, usually they appear like this:

I've also noticed other sub-forums suffering the same issue, though the spam usually gets swept away by forum admins after a few hours (P.S: Kudos to them

But regardless. My question is: Are the forum admins or community managers taking further steps to hinder the spammers posting, and if so; determining and making attempts to block the IP's they might be operating from? The spam is feeling like its becoming a more serious issue...
