I can imprison traitors for wanting to do something like taking a county or doing some minor insult to me... but if someone threatens to declare a major invasion on me and I get him to be in my realm - or he declares from it, yes that happens - I can not imprison him without -40 relations. HOW?! Why?! Did you just miss that? I had this happened many times in the past, but at some points I have to put the foot down and not eat -40 relations to stop them.

How does this even happen?

Normally only exiled people - or married off descendants - can use this on you.

1)However there is the obvious long lasting and never fixed bug of the event triggering for people in your realm during a revolt. So if person XYZ is in court of revoltee A, the event can fire. And even if you defeat the revolt in time, you can't prevent the invasion without a -40 relation.

2) Even if it is not the former bug, but you conquer the lands of the ass the claimant invader is hiding in, you can still not imprison them without getting -40 relations.

Solution:

A) Don't make invasions be declared from realms in rebellion.
AND
B) Make "adventurer threat" people be able to be imprisoned. It is treason if they are in your realm. PERIOD.

I disagree. This not more treason then beeing in a faction for installing yourself. Or even for beeing listed as a pretender, IMO!

The game try to move a threatening adventurer to another realm sharing his culture when the threat is anounced. Ofc a rebelling realm or a lord under it is a very likely target as a culture is often realm- unique. A charachter of another realm you can't imprison, treat these occations the same as well. Think a fix to the problem - ie they cant under any circumstances come under your realm after threat is anounced - is hard to find.

I don't mind the mechanic in general. It was rather hilarious to win X of these by the fact that since India is in and they don't get giant fleets, sometimes they are stuck on Britain with no clue how to reach you or if you are Britain the same. However my qualm here was, that this event doesn't trigger for people in exile, but during civil wars in your realm FROM your rebelling realm. That is clearly not intended. This is an exile claim event, not an internal thing. Otherwise it should fire every other day if that was "logical".

Also threatening a 100% guaranteed coup and collecting an army at least 50% your realm size is the same as calling an illegal militia "proper citizens of a country". I am pretty sure I didn't legalize owning private armies for a group to make a violent coup and neither do 90% of states in the world past or now.

If you use the factions, you need the support of MOST people in an empire/kingdom to press it. So you could say you got a kinda legitimate claim backed by the people. A one man army rundown is clearly less legitimate aside of some minor "weak" claim of 2 generations past. And that is paper thin!

I don't demand much. Let him revolt if the imprisonedment fails! Give him 40% protection, make it 50/50. If it works he is imprisoned, otherwise he INSTANTLY attacks with 50-100% of your forcelimit. Those waiting it out and going to assasinate him internally can still do it. I just want a fair chance - especially as an ABSOLUTE empire with full revocation and imprisonment rights etc. to get rid of an actual armed insurrection before anyone dies. I literally can do that with people INSULTING me.

There is a giant gap of disbelief in "realm internal adventurers" that target you and the game and law system in general. Aside of the event firing in internal revolts clearly being a bug.

I just want that one to be fixed. Let them come from Scandinavia to Tibet etc. I don't care. If they survive the assassin.
