Hello,

so I've seen this more often, but this is the first time I made a screenshot.

***I am not talking about the option to settle adventurers or to negotiate and give them land***

He's an adventurer.
Look at the History of the Chiefdom of Varde.
It was inherited by Bertil, then by Alfgeir, then by Elda... and then Sigudr just "got" it.
If you examine closely you notice that the former Chief of Varde is his mother and she is still alive

He apparently somehow "got" the title and because he was a Duke (Raiders are duke tier) before, he became independent

Is this WAD or a bug?

No, my guess is that his mother had two counties and simply gave him one of them (he may have even started an invasion for her titles and she decided to just give in instead of fighting him).

She's my vassal
He can neither declare war on her nor can she make him independed by handing out titles to him
Plus, if she did, it would be in the history
