I don't know where you got this from, but that's definitely not true.
I misspoke when I said they thought it was a cause of his condition, it would be better to say that his fidelity to his wife was a cause for concern though, and was discussed by his advisors during his bouts of mental decline. So that is my bad for being a little aggressive in my choice of words in an effort to use few of them.

Harold II Godwinson had 2 wives simultaneously in 1066. Children of his first (possibly not legitimate) marriage became both Concubines and married into other royal families. While his son's by his first not legitimate wife would have been in line to succeed him had he successfully fended of William the Bastard. This is born out by the fact that they were not only taken in by other courts but were able to attract an army to help them (unsuccessfully) retake the English throne not once, but twice.
