I recently purchases EUII. Unfortunately, the only computer access I have at the moment is via a university account which does not grant administrative priviledges. When I attempt to install the game, this fact is pointed out, and therefore Im unable to install.

Aside from purchasing my own machine (which I intend to do in the next month or so), is there any way of bypassing this barrier so that I can intall EUII?

note: I'm not trying to "hack into" anything, just seeing if I can adjust the program itself so it will run with the priviledges I already have.

Probably not. You would need to have your permissions opened to a higher level by the network administrator so your best bet would be to ask the university admin to lift them briefly, or ask the admin to do the installation. You would not need higher permissions to actually play EU2, only to install. Note that in many network systems, you would probably not be able to play MP games even if you could talk them into allowing a game installation. Also you would not be able to apply any patches...that would have to be done by the network admin too. All in all, it's probably best to wait until you've got your own computer.
