Right now the Dynasty Map Overlay seems very similar to the Independent Realms overlay. Yes, if you happen to have family in two kingdoms it will show that separately so technically it's different.

But what I really want it to do is show me which actual rulers are in my bloodline as well. Like if I look at Ireland it is all green because my bloodline controls it. But what I also want to see is which rulers are part of my bloodline - it doesn't distinguish actual bloodline members from people who are simply vassals of my family.

So why not paint actual bloodline rulers in the darker color, and vassals of my family in a lighter color?

So in my case my character's fiefs would be dark, my son's fief would be dark (but his vassal mayor of Ormand would be light), several of the Northern fiefs would be dark (thanks to smart marriages on my part). The rest would be light.

Basically, if the ruler has a the bloodline mark, make it dark. If the ruler doesn't, make it light.
