Adjusting armour in mech bay

Is there a way to assign armour in precise ampounts to the various locations? Sometimes when I take armour from one location and put it to another I'm short by a few decimal points, or I'm over by a bit. If I press the max armor button it reverts to the previous setting.

Short answer: No. You can only change in multiples of 5.


Longer version:

When you click 'max armour', most locations will no longer be a multiple of 5. However, if you add or subtract armour in each location, they all will be.

I guess this is not the fine-tuning you're looking for, but I don't think that exists. :/

In Battletech Revised I've used shift-click to make single point adjustments, but I don't know if that works in the base game.

Click: 5 points
Shift-click: 5 points
Ctrl-click: 5 points
Alt-click: 5 points
Ctrl-Shift-click: 5 points

Shift-Ctrl-Alt-click: 5 points

...

They really did absolutely nothing with all those buttons at their disposal...
