So could there be an additional clause to the Decline of the Spice Trade event concerning your subjects?
It's a bit annoying if I have a vassal or a PU partner and they colonize their third spice province and the event fires.
And since the event describes "With an increasing amount of competitors..." I find it odd that counts my vassals, who in generally are loyal to and weaker than me, or my PU subjects, which ruler I technically am as well.
Couldn't I basically say to my vassal or my PU subjects government: "Hey, have you heard about this thing called a cartel? Look when somebody who tries to buy spice from either one of us says: "Well I'll just see who cheap the other guy is selling.", we both tell him that: "This is price and you ain't going to find a better one". It's a selller's market out there. We both will be able to sell all the cinnamon, mace and nutmeg that we can just ship to Europe. Is just a matter of opportunity that we can create for ourselves."
