Title says it all. It's just that I have just conquered a Fallen Empire, the Enigmatic Observer type.

They were positioned right next to me and they ruined my enslaving spree gameplay.

I want to punish them for what they have done to my gameplay
by adding all the negative trait to their genetic make up

starting with "Repugnant"

I know it is not really related to the gameplay but it would be fun to have option to add not only able to "Improve" species but to "deform" them with your choices.

I was just about to post this as a suggestion right now, with the same arguments that you used :D
I already thought about, instead of purging all aliens, just deforming them into strong but dumb war machines without sentience that would always follow the commands of their leaders (and if they aren't warriors, they are miners). So I could use them to conquer other peoples in the galaxy and do the same with those. And once I completed the enslavement and deformation of all aliens, I'd just change them a second time to make them weak energy producers that couldn't properly rebel against my very strong ultra-xenophobic kind-of-humans and would - without wanting it, and without being able to resist at all - fund my whole galactic empire.
And that would just be the most evil version I could imagine.
In a more peaceful game, I would punish slavers and xenophobic war crime committers by making them weak so they couldn't harm anyone anymore, but I wouldn't do anything else.

There is a very good point to nutering future subjects completely with negative traits, to ensure that if they rebel, they will have the worst possible chance for survival, also to specialising them ofcause, this should be a relatively easy thing to add on through mods, however it just seems like a slight oversight on part of stellaris, also removing positive traits would be nice.
