No I can make the leaders but not the Members...

I still do not seem to understand what you mean; These are the ways alliances work:

Country a invites Country b into a MILITARY ALLIANCE.Country b accepts.

Thus, Country a is the leader of the alliance, and can invite more countries, if hey do not already have an alliance with somebody else.

Country b cannot invite new countries to join the alliance, but can leave the alliance with Country a, to form or join one with, say... Country c.

If Country d wants to be in an alliance with Country a, but Country b is already in one, Country d cannot CREATE NEW ALLIANCE with either of them, but can JOIN ALLIANCE when clicking on Country a.

Country b is then a "side-effect" of the alliance, a little helper on the side. Country d cannot get rid of Country b as long as it is in Country a&b's alliance.

IF Country a wants to get rid of Country b or d, they can do so, by clicking BAN FROM ALLIANCE. This gives them a Casus Belli agaist Country a for i think 12 months.

I think that's all there is to it. Happy gaming!

funkyzafara: I have experienced that same problem.

I have found that the only way to make alliances is to do them manually.

This would be a vassalization:

alliance = {
id = { type = 6000 id = 1 }
type = vassalization
startdate = { year = 900 month = january day = 0 }
expirydate = { year = 1152 month = january day = 1 }
participant = { CAL ARM }
}

Where Armenia is a vassal of the Kaliphate.

Put this in the globaldata section of the scenario you want to edit.

If you want an RM, replace vassalization with dynasticalliance. If you want a military alliance, put militaryalliance where the first nation tag is the alliance leader.

Don't forget to add appropriate start dates and end dates, and every alliance must have a different id number.

Yeah it is in the Scenario Editor I mean.

But there must be an easier way to do it.

Please, I can't use any of the current answers...
Some things just can't be done with the Scenario Editor. That's one reason why most modders use text editors instead.
