I've been playing a multiplayer game with my son and we're getting close to 1300 AD so I don't want to screw it up. However, I want to buy some new DLC like Way of Life and maybe Conclave. Can I enable those DLC for our game if my son doesn't buy them?

From what ive heard only host needs to have DLC. And I think WoL can be enabled at any time and not cause problems but disabling might break the save. Not sure about conclave.

I can confirm what Ciniod is saying. I used to frequently play with friends and I was the only one with all DLCs, and I've also enabled Way of Life mid-game with no problems. Conclave is probably harmless as well, though I could easily see it messing around with some of your laws if you enabled or disabled mid-game. Probably the smartest thing you could though is just make a backup copy of your save just in case anything unexpected happens.
