Adding Characters to Saved games?

Can someone tell me how to add new characters to saved games?

I have had no luck in opening the saved games, even with my program editors like Visual C++, Eclipse, and others....

Any help would be much appreciated.. I tried downloading that editor on this site, but could not get it working....

Well, have you tried open it with Notes? If you have Windows of course ...

Notepad is all that's needed to open the savegame files...they're written in text, not C++ or anything like that.
