Adding characters to saved games ...

Hello, I've tried to add some new characters to my character pool by altering my "saved game"s files (my favourite) and it doesn't work. Is there anything particular to bare in mind while doing this, or isn't it possible to do? If not, that would be quite strange, so I believe I'm not doing it right.

I've created 4 characters, all in my realm, and put them after the last living character already existing. I've given them new ID numbers and their death date is set to year=1. I can't really see what's wrong, but still yet they don't show up in the game. Just in case I've done some error I've missed I'll post an example:

(note that I'm Rome, the year is 500 and all of them doesn't have province=98)

Is there a limit of 50 characters for what you can have in your empire? If so, then that's the reason why. But if it doesn't exist any such limit then I'm still clueless.

Did you add them to under your country? After the diplomacy section of your country, there is a list of characters available in that country. Did you add them there?

No, I didn't even know that that list existed. Thanks! No it works perfectly.
(And thank god there's no 50 character limit)

Now that I've added some characters I've also created some new families and added them, but they won't show up in the ledger.

I have added them to the family list and I can't find any specification over the families in the country. What should I do?
