But They Weren't In The War and The Collab Govs Can Be Called to wars so that takes away the historical side
They also didn't have any armies to speak of. The problem is that if independent UK wouldn't get the resources. Plus wouldn't be able to station troops there. Also they were bombed by Italy so it would make things less historical.

They Can Give UK Military Access And They Can Sell Britain More Oil By Having Better Trade Relation With The Countries.

I believe that both Saudi Arabia and Oman, Bahrain as a small regional shared tree in the Chinese warlords style is more than enough
Yes All Small Arabian Peninsula States (Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Oman And Yemen) Should Have A Shared Focus Tree, While Saudi Arabia And Iraq And Afghanistan And Iran Should Have Special Trees.

I honor you invested work, but even with the capacity split of country content designers and main team, there are still hot spots.
Indeed it is called WW2, but the main conflicts took place in Europe and Pacific Theatre, China, South East Asia and of course North Africa for 3 years.
Everything you try to model in detail may not disbalance the entire game play.
After each update, the game should run in historical mode as in the update before.
Every nation pack just adds ahistorical game options, for the achievement hunters interesting, for some locals of patriotic importance, but for 95% of the players another investment for few benefit.
Scandinavian countries are missing and also Switzerland and Belgium could be focused soon.
Egypt at the very least absolutely needs to be remodeled to reflect its actual status within the Empire, and it was a battleground during the war.

Well, I assume the biggest reason people enjoy the Ahistorical/Alt-history/Fantasy parts of the game is that, historical games play out the exact same way every time if you actually follow the historical side. The game gets boring after a while. Plus, if they truly made this a historical game, it would have even less players playing it. You know why? Because historically, the axis lost. If you play the game and it ends the EXACT SAME WAY, every time then whats the point of playing the Axis? It'll just be boring being forced to lose. No one wants to lose.

That being said, the Axis wins generally most of the time from what I've seen and that really has to deal with the AI not doing well over all. America not doing very well with Naval invasions, no one giving USSR supplies, USSR crumbling way too easily. Etc etc.
This is my exact sentiment. Don't wanna get flamed, but I like the stupid off-the-rails ahistorical stuff because it feels more engaging than just playing through the exact same story I've seen and played through in a million movies and games a million times. WW2 is probably the most popular historical subject in pop culture by far, and as such it's really oversaturated in the media.

And The Arabian countries of Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Qatar were never in the British Empire, They were protectorates, so why don't you make them independent but guaranteed by the UK!

I find it funny that you ask for the small states in the Persian Gulf to be properly represented as protectorates, but nothing about the Kingdom of Egypt, the French Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon, British Palestine and Emirate of Transjordan, not mentioning Morocco and Tunisia, all of whom would be way more relevant in my opinion than even the Trucial States.

Seems more like another rework of the French and British colonial empires is in order rather than a country pack focusing on the middle east for the time being.

Yeah, I think they missed the opportunity with La Résistance. Managing your puppet colonies should be a big part of French focus tree, but they have direct control on everything.

One of my favourite recent mods to come out is New Ways, since it adds a ton of new nations, many of them puppets/client states/mandates for the colonial powers, and actually provides unique focus trees for most of them (the Palestine/Israel one is particularly excellent and huge). Hopefully Paradox takes inspiration from this mod and overhauls how they depict the colonial empires.

That's false dichotomy, though. The alternative to the second American civil war and CSA winning, communist Japan or fascist UK installing Edward's wife as the queen of the US is not "the exact same story you have to play again and again". The alternative is plausible alt-history, like Japan focusing on the USSR instead of the allies, or democratic/neutral Germany unlocked if the allies intervene during the Rheinland crisis, and Soviet Union will become the aggressor in Europe in that case, etc... Tons of plausible and interesting alternatives for WW2 exist, we don't need "EPIC" wacky memey paths to have alternatives to "the same story repeated again and again".
I enjoy alternatives, I just think that the ridiculous ones belong in mods, not in the base game.

As said earlier by another commentator, I think it should be a rework of colonies in general. In the game there is nothing to differentiate French Algeria from the French protectorate in Morocco, and colonies are like totally peaceful, there is no unrest, and the colonial empire has total control over everything. There is also no colonial regiment (like sure, my colonial regiment has support artillery, logistics, 14/4 with latest equipment because I used some army xp and have some stock). Like wouldn't be a good idea to have a moral buff or debuff to colonial regiments considering the promises of decolonizing from the colonial empire ?

I can't judge OP's work since I'm not familiar with this area's History, but I'm glad someone did it. Maybe gather a team to work on a mod ?

Hey, you seriously just don't understand what I was saying at all. I'm saying PLAYING HISTORICALLY is just the same stuff you've seen 500 times in a million different pieces of media. Your alternatives are nice, and I like those too, but wacky ahistorical paths are also fine in my opinion.

Oh, I see what you mean. Well, I guess, it's just a matter of taste and personal opinion. For me personally, some insane stuff feels a bit out of place in the base game - but I greatly enjoy it in mods like TNO or Equestria at War. I mean, if we can have Mosley annexing and coring the whole North America and the rest of the Empire, why can't we have time travellers who bring modern weapons to Tannu Tuva, or space invaders landing in the middle of a war, or a zombie epidemics, or an esoteric path for Germany where you can study magic runes and find out that they actually work? All of these things are very fun when implemented in mods, but I just don't feel such things belong in vanilla "WW2 game" HoI4 is supposed to be.
