The number of vehicle in each transport line can only be added globally by adding budget. Would like to have the option to add vehicle to a specific line that is so popular without wasting resource on those isn't.

How can you tell which lines are more heavily used? I may be slow, but so far I haven't seen any way to measure use of bus or metro lines.

Don't know of any proper statistics, but for buses and trains (particularly buses) you can sometimes see massive amounts of people lining up at the stops, and they have to wait a long time because all the buses are full.

You need to click on a bus or metro train while in the transportation info view then click on modify line and you can see the usage numbers for that line.
