An alarm might be something that a player sets for a specific date to remind them of something, for instance the start of a diplomatic annexation or an advance warning of when a claim or core expires.

The alarm would be set with a small button in the UI that opens up a box that accepts text input for a note and three date fields similar to the EU4 game set-up date picker, a Save button, and a Close button. There would also be a button in the UI to allow the player to view and delete existing alarms if necessary.
