Hey.

One thing which I would like to see is more national ideas with unique mechanics. Europe has these kind of ideas, take a look at these:

The French idea Native Trading Principles (Reduced native attacks, native tax & manpower +100%).
The Castillian idea Inter Caetera (Can fabricate claims on any overseas province, +1 Colonist).
The Horde tradition no cost for reinforcing.
The Russian idea Siberian Frontier (Auto-exploration of all territory adjacent to owned home territory, +1 colonist).
(Hungary, USA, even NORWAY has these type of unique ideas!).

Now, England used to have an "unique" idea (+33% [sic?] embargo efficiency), which is now gone. Same for Ottomans, which had Ghazi, again, removed. Shame.

RoTW has nothing like this. I'd like to see more ideas like this implemented in the game (of course, more time than regular ideas as these might actually require coding).

what do you think?

I have one Unique Idea Concept for some Famously Defensive Nations:

'enemy of this country always receives negative terrain modifiers while inside this nation's borders, even during defense'

and this would be for:
- Dai Viet
- Afghanistan
- Switzerland
- Scotland
- Netherlands <rivers, marches, purposeful flooding of own provinces was major tactic during Dutch wars with bigger empires>
- Georgia

Also, Unique Idea for all Chinese States and Ming:

Inventors of Firepowder

- they have <appriopriately named> artillery from tech 1, +20% siege ability

Unique Idea for West African countries:

Slave Hunters

- introduces unique Slave War Casus Belli against other West African nations.

Unique Idea for Mesoamerican countries:

Sacrifice

- special button in army interface: sacrificing <killing> regiment of 1000 men provides bonuses towards stability of empire for short period of time

I have a different idea for Mesoamericans, regarding religious sacrifice:
Garland Wars.
Can declare a war with special superiority-type CB that, if won, increases stability by 1 and lowers stability cost for 5 years.

They could add in the standard bonuses list a cheaper military leaders modifier for a bit more variety. Not very useful early on, but late game, rolling every 20 years 4 generals sinks quite a lot of MP.

Military Tactics-related idea bonuses? Seriously, i have no idea we do not have it yet.
And a fresh-esque idea: "Deforestation" - spend military/admin points to convert any province with forest/woods/jungle to plains for increased manpower/basetax. If a province provided tropical wood/naval supplies/furs tradegoods, they are changed to Grain, Wool or Fish.
Another terrain-related one: "Battlefield preparation" - spend military points to quickly construct a number of minor battlefield fortifications in a Hills/Plains/Desert province, which will give a -1 dice roll to an attacker and remove the "Insufficient support" penalties for the defender. Lasts a limited number of battles (1 or 2), or automatically disappear after a year, if it is unused. Can be looted for additional +3 gold in "Spoils of War", if the province with it has no defending troops.
