Looking the EU4 devdiaries seems like it is going to have the seasons represented graphically on the map (Something like this: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...-Europa-Universalis-IV-Screenshots-Megathread), snow in winter, brighting grass in spring, etc. I think that this could add much immersion if added to CK2. It could have some work but apparently you did it in EU4 so you only have to port it to the CK2 code.

Well, I think that if many players ask for this, Paradox would add it.

Good idea! :) Though I think it's probably more complicated to merge the code from EU4 that powers it with CK2 than it sounds.
While we're on the subject of seasons, I'd quite like to see more seasonal events too. It would add more immersion to the game.

They really do need to add a bit more to the map. Especially for effects involving combat and wars. The current 'mountains, hills, river, plains' is ok but being the only factors makes maneuvering armies very simplistic and detracts from the fun complexity in the game.
I would love to see terrain features affect units differently. Heavy cavalry and infantry get a negative in mountians/hills while light infantry and archers get a bonus. Seasons would affect movement. Winter would slow armies down, decrease morale.
Heavily forrested arreas would give archers a decrease, especially horse archers. Give heavy cavalry flanking bonus's.
Just get someone to do a bit of research on medieval warfare in regards to terrain and factor that in. Tie it to the commanders leadership of course because a bad commander might send heavy cavalry to chase after mongol archers instead of using the forrests to manouver and flank them.

On another note, Why the heck do they name Europa Universalis????? 3 installments of this game and I've never heard of it because it has a funky name. I'll defiantly be getting his EU4.

The game files have attrition effects for winter (mild, severe, etc.). Are you sure seasons aren't included, already? They may just not be visible.

That's the point; the seasons aren't visible. I know what OP means when he's talking about seasons as I've been randomly excited by the fact that EU4 looks like it will have graphical seasons.

This was discussed before and I believe that the reason it could not be added was that it diden't run very stable.

That seems like, long term, a rather flimsy reason. In the short term, yes, they shouldn't add something that'll cause serious stability issues.

Long term, they need to figure out what causes the stability issues... cause it'll look awesome if the EUIV map is any indication.

It really looks like they base their EU4 map on the CK2 map and if EU4 map will have seasons visible, then they might add it for CK II.
