Add friend doesn't work

There was a big server failure earlier this week. The game is up and running again but some of the chat features and the friend feature are both still non-functional. There's been no ETA that I have seen but I'm sure they will post about it once it is running 100% again.

As Valdus explained, we are facing a major server failure. We are still working on it. We haven’t been able to run all our online services, this is why the chat and friend list management are not able yet. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

It's been a week... I can only assume that you lost the data and have no idea how you are going to handle that.
The main hardware they used for at least some of the servers is probably dead and they are running at reduced capacity (turning off non-essentials like friends) so that the backup servers/remaining hardware doesn't get overloaded. That's my guess anyway.
